Howard The Duck
The Punisher (1989)
Blade I
Blade II
Blade Trinity
X-Men
Spider-Man
Spider-Man 2
Daredevil: Director's Cut
Hulk (2003)
Fantastic Four
Fantastic Four: Rise Of The Silver Surfer

If I had to choose, I'd probably say X-Men First Class, then Spider-man 2. However, I haven't watched Spider-man 2 ( or 1 ) in a long time, so I can't say absolutely for sure how well they've held up.

Basically a toss up for me between Kick-Ass, Blade, X2, XM:FC and Spider-Man 2.

Then X-Men 1, Spidey 1 and Punisher'04, Blade 2.

To me those are the only one's I'd endorse.

What he said. I would have argued that Fantastic Four 1 is still watchably bad, but then someone reminded me of the artificial gravity fridge idiocy, and my head exploded.

The Jane Punisher really gets unfairly overlooked. It makes me sad. . .

Hmm, I don't recall that part.

The space station, which is totally not spinning or otherwise producing centrifugal force. . . has gravity. They walk around in it like normal.

So its either an *epic* plot hole, or else Doom invented artificial gravity. And yet. . . somehow is actually having money troubles from one failed research mission?

Doom's company was publicly traded, the incident caused the stocks to plummet and the board of directors to dismiss him from the company.

This is more or less how I would rank the non-Marvel Studios films.

X-Men: First Class
Spider-Man 2
Spider-Man
Blade II
Hulk
The Punisher (2004)
Blade
Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance
Spider-Man 3
X-Men
X-Men: The Last Stand
X2
The Punisher (1989)
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer
Blade: Trinity
Fantastic Four
Daredevil
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Ghost Rider
Elektra
Man-Thing
Punisher: War Zone

If you manage to invent *artificial gravity*, you should have enough personal capital not to need to deal with such things as "stock holders." Damn thing should have been privately held.

Oh, well that sort of thing to me was incidental since as soon as they said Doom was a CEO bad guy and not a dictator I had pretty much stopped caring and wrote the movie off.

The company could hold the patent for the artificial gravity, even though Doom invented it. But that's all hearsay, mental gymnastics.

Also, publicly traded companies tend to make more money than private ones, it's in his character to want more/everything.

That was your breaking point?

Doom not a dictator of his own country...OK.
Doom on same trip that creates the FF....OK.
Doom transformed by cosmic rays too......OK.
Doom has private space station..............OK.
Doom invented artificial gravity...............that's too much, I'm outa here!!!!!!!

My favorites in order of preference are...

1) Spider-Man 2
2) X2
3) X-Men: First Class
4) Spider-Man
5) Blade
6) X-Men
7) Blade II
8) The Punisher

The top three were the toughest ones for me, as all three are just amazing movies. I kept vacilating between where to put X2 versus XFC as I was just totally blown away by both movies. In the end, though, I decided to go with X2 due to the huge emotional payoff with Jean's sacrifice at the end. Unfortunately Singer had to jump ship and do a ****** Superman movie instead of completing his X-Men trilogy. Which is especially a shame as he set it up on an Empire Strikes Back style cliffhanger. He should've come back and completed the trilogy, but nope, instead the whole thing got ruined. Thanks a lot, Singer.

After that it was pretty easy, as Spider-Man IS clearly a better movie than Blade. Blade, however, is just such a great movie. I can rewatch it all the time, moreso than the first X-Men movie, which is itself good. I ended it with Thomas Jane's Punisher because I did like that movie, but it really could've been so much better than what it was, which is disappointing because Thomas Jane did such a great job.

If I were to continue that list the two Fantastic Four movies would be right after. They're entertaining to a point, but nowhere near as good as they could've been and had far more downsides to them than upsides. From there on it just turns into a stream of godawful crap with Daredevil, Ghost Rider, and Ang Lee's Hulk.

The first one's where I bid Fox's movie adios'.

I think the worst was making him a businessman who didn't know anything about black magic.

Yes, in this order!

1) Blade
2) Kick Ass
3) Howard the Duck
4) X-men First Class
5) X2

Nothing else impressed me much..

X2 just drags way too much in the middle, the pacing is what keeps from being in my top 10. First Class on the other hand is basically the same running time and never feels that.

I think Fox is more to blame with Singer not doing a third X-Men, if I remember right he said he would be up for doing it, if Fox was willing to wait a few months for him to shoot Superman Returns

My Favorite Non-MS Marvel character movies:
1. Spider-Man2
2.X-2
3.Blade

Kick-Ass was great

Doom inventing artificial gravity *and it having no relevance on the plot*, mind.

That said, its the straw that broke the camels back. There certainly is plenty else to hate about the movie, but I held to the belief it was a bad but enjoyable movie until I realized that bit of fridge logic.

Personally I tend to give BS pseudo-science a pass in superhero films. You kinda have to just know it's going to be there before even going in to the theater because that's how it all works in the source material, plus I'm no scientist or engineer and neither are 99% of the audience. I don't think superhero films are meant to be science fiction but rather science fantasy. But getting the characterization completely wrong like they did with Doom? Yeah, that's what pisses me off and'll ruin a movie for me.

Spider-Man 3

See, that's the thing: I'm not complaining about impossible or non-sensical science. I'm complaining about a scientific breakthrough, that despite being extraordinary and world changing, has no relevance to the plot whatsoever.

Spider-Man 2.

Still my favourite comic book movie all time.
