I don't totally understand this quote. I get "The son becomes the father," but how does "The father becomes the son" work? Or is it, "The father becomes the sun" (metaphorically speaking)?

Sorry if this is a stupid question, I'm not very well-versed in Superman.

One Day Jason = SUPERMAN's son will become Just like him .

That sounds like the "son becomes the father" part. I thought it *might* reference that Supes gains power from the sun, so while at first Kal-El gains knowledge and "power" from Jor-El as his son, he eventually becomes a father too and becomes "the sun" to pass on knowledge and power to his kid, Jason.

Did that make sense?
