Ok after sitting on it for some time, my favorite part has to be the

Wolverine vs Shingen fight....Especially after the music gets more intense and he ends it with that

[blackout] Shingen: What kind of monster are you?
Logan: The Wolverine[/blackout]

Pure badassery

^^^ Yup, my favorite scene as well.

I'd like to mention the scene when Mariko is telling Logan about how her grandfather envisioned The Wolverine protecting her while she slept in bed... and it happened.

Yesss! Loved that moment, one of my top two.

My favourite scene was the bullet train sequence, just :wow:

I loved that too, so did the rest of the audience when I watched...After Logan
calls himself The Wolverine
people were cheerin and clappin, sent chills down my spine...that was easily more badass than any of the "I'm Batman" moments.

That happened when I saw it too.

Come on now with that stupid Marvel vs DC mentality

I personally still feel the greatest self declaration moment for a superhero is Batman in the 1989 film

I might have to rewatch it as I didn't fall in love with it the first time. :( Tuesday, it is :)

That said my favorite scene started with Logan coming back to Harada's home, and you just know Shingen is somewhere lurking in the shadows, ready to whoop some ass. The fight with Yukio Vs. Shingen, with Logan bleeding on the side, then Logan basically tossing Shingen like a paper doll. And if course the fight that ensues.

Btw, anyone notice the inexplicable eyeshadows they put on Shingen during this fight? Lol

I think the whole scene from the Surgery, Yukio V Shingen, Logan V Shingen is going to have to go down as one of my all time favourite CBM moments of all time, if not number one itself.

Love Yukio's entrance and bar scene.

Bullet train fight for just being so much better than the trailers looked.

THE BEAR!

I got to agree with the yukio vs shingen while logan does self surgery transitioning into Logan vs Shingen. It shows just how scary it is to fight Wolverine. It's like no matter how skilled you are and now matter how many times you cut him or stab him, he just won't die. He'll just get up like you did nothing. Intense as hell.

I just loved that Logan has a freakin' bodycount in this movie. He had no hesitation in stabbing people up while screaming in their face!!!!

I also loved the early scene in the bar, when he goes after the hunter who shot the bear, sticks the poison arrow in the guy's hand and pours a drink over it. Damn! :wow:

And then Yukio shows up explaining the sword, saying how it can "separate limbs from bodies." That was great.

During the self surgery, when the x-ray machine was tossed aside by Shingen, I just wished Logan didn't shout out "I can't see."

Show, don't tell Mangold! There's been reviews of this film suggesting Mangold does a number of reminding people what Yakuza was. What Ronin was, etc and I didn't really notice any of those. But this was one instance where I thought Mangold should've just used the scene to show what's happening, instead of characters telling us.

The trouble with any film, especially CBM.s which get nitpicked more that most, is that you can never win.

If a director explains something then its "Why are you telling me X, I already know it!"

If a director doesnt explain something then its "Why didnt you explain X, PLOTHOLE!!"

Yeah I think the Ronin one was probably repeated, thats a fair criticism.

As for the "I cant see" I think that was done for comedy effect, I know people were laughing when he said when I watched it Sunday.

All I know is that if I lost my visual aid after I'd already plunged my hand into my chest cavity, I'd be screaming that I couldn't see it either.

And maybe it was just for the benefit of those not watching...I know my sister was practically hiding under her chair during that scene. :funny:

The credits stinger was my favorite scene. That alone was worth the price of admission.

But out of the rest of the movie, I'd have to say the fight with Shingen was the highlight.

The scene with Mariko and Logan when he finds the the spot he was held captive when the bomb dropped and she talks about Yashida telling her "its a sign that all things find peace......eventually".

For some reason watching Wolverine walk at Shingen (the scene in the trailer) - damn cool. I wasn't blown away by the film but that... yeah Shingen had lost his mind because he really should've been high-tailing it there haha

Yea makes me think of what it would look like if a pissed off Pit Bull was comin towards you.

I've had a pissed off rottweiler come at me. Happily my staffie was more keen to see me survive than the rottweiler to see me dead. Result Staffie 1, Rottie 0.

It's no joke seeing a flamed up big dog charge you; I was terrified like Shingen should have been :D

Really loved the whole Yukon sequence. I could have watched a lot more of that TBH.

Logan killing the bear and taking on the hunters at the bar was so great.

I also really liked Wolverine first entering Yashida's compound with the whole bathing sequence, seeing Shingen train from afar, seeing Mariko for the first time, etc. It really worked to sell Logan being totally out of his element.

THE BEAR!

:csad:

I will :csad:

Have to say that bear was damn good CGI

Yeah the good thing they did was keep it simple, I was worried Logan would end up fighting it and make it look bad. Bad CGI dates a film very quickly.

And I guess for the scene when he does put it out of its missery was actually a puppet.

My favorite Scenes
Yukio vs Shingen and Shingen vs Logan
Bullet Train
Bear Scene/Bar

I also liked the humor in the film Logan had some good one liners
My Favorite Line was
"You can't pretend **** isn't happening when it is princess"
"And really you're really gonna try and talk tough in your red underwear"

Yukio vs Shingen vs Logan

All these massive cgi laden fights in these types of movies, even something like the bullet train sequence in this. Its so good to see one on one fight, well shot in close quarters.
