I often find out that some of my favorite songs by an artist - sometimes a very popular artist - are not the big hits that they´re most famous for, but often ones that didn´t even made it to the big spots of the charts. For instance, I´m a big fan of the early U2 stuff (War, The Joshua Tree), and I greatly love major hits like Pride, I still haven´t found what I´m looking for or With or Without you, but I have a special place in my heart for Night and Day, a dark and very intense song they made that never hit the top 40 and I don´t think is considered one of their "classics". While I love Coldplay hits like Clocks, The Scientist and Fix You, maybe my favorite song by them is God Put a Smile On Your Face, which is also not one of their major hits on the charts. What are some examples of songs you love that were not big hits or often mentioned among your favorite artists´best.

This is a partially animated video from 1984. This is what I show to anyone who "can't stand his voice" or can't understand him. :woot:
Oh yeah, and the JOKER makes a brief appearance in one of the animated collages:

nothing by Led Zeppelin is underrated it's just right.

Haha, no.

What are some examples of songs you love that were not big hits or often mentioned among your favorite artists´best.

I have never once heard "When The Levee Breaks" on the radio and it is by far their best song.
I've also never heard "Out On The Tiles", "Walter's Walk", "Custard Pie", "Sick Again" or "Candystore Rock" on the radio.

To most people who say, "Yeah, Led Zep RAWKS!", if I mention "Travelling Riverside Blues", they've never even heard of it.

This is not about bands who are underrated.
It's about songs that are underrated, or more obscure songs that are your favorites.

It's about how if you EVER mention KISS to a non Kiss Army Member, 99.9% of the time they'll respond "Hell YEAH! Rock and Roll All Night and Pawrtay evur-EE DAY!"

And that's one of their worst songs.

Black Sabbath - Sweet Leaf

Metallica - Blitzkrieg

Blitzkrieg isn't a Metallica song. They just covered it.

For me there is alot of that Metallica did. That wasn't popular just because they didn't release as a single, but I would say pretty much all Metallica.

Just cause a song doesn't hit the top 40 means nothing. NWA sold their first album outside of a van because most people (including MTV) wanted nothing to do with them. And, look at the classic stuff that album had:

BUT OF COURSE that album nor its songs are underrated which I guess is the purpose of this thread. Well...he's an underrated song that I always liked:

Dr. Dre's Been There, Done That. Alot of people hate the song cause he went soft or whatever. I think its a brilliant song nonetheless.

Ring of Fire - Wall of Voodoo
Mexican Radio - Wall of Voodoo
Just Drive She Said - Wall of Voodoo
Shouldn't Have Given Him a Gun For Christmas - Wall of Voodoo

Eagles of Death Metal - Flames Went Higher
