still spider-man 2 for me with iron man 1 snapping at it's heels.
the story of a hero whose life is being destroyed by his alter-ego so gives it all up (being a hero) only to take it up again knowing he is putting his life in the dumpster again, for me was utterly engaging.

avengers is an amazing movie with regards to action but there is next to no character progression, that doesn't make it a bad movie but I need character progression to class a good movie a GREAT movie.

The most disappointing for me is X-men Origins, I had high hopes for this movie because Deadpool and Wolverine are just a couple of my favorite Marvel Characters but they butchered it like they didn't care about the character at all.

I really don't get all the love for Spider-Man #2. I thought both X-Men #2 and more recently X-Men: First Class were better movies. I rate Thor and Ironman #1 quite highly too. Going to see The Avengers again today. Don't quite know where to place it yet. Certainly in my top 5 Marvel movies.

IMO, the action scenes were great not to mention Doc Ock not looking like a power ranger reject ( Goblin ) :P

The scenes with Doc Ock were great. The problem is that there were too few of them.
The middle part of Spider-Man 2 was boring. For me, a good film, but not one of the best.

I have to agree on your statement about the boring parts, but you'll compare the 3 Raimi films I have to say SM2.

Top 10

1. Avengers Assemble - the greatest comic book film of all-time. Evertything was spot on, cast, humour, action, tension.

2. Captain America - I'd waited years for this movie and it didn't disapoint at all. Chris Evans as Captain America was the best piece of casting in any Marvel movie and the most perfect since Chris Reeve as Superman. Also I don't think I've ever seen a superhero film where the hero has kicked so much butt. Hugo Weaving as Red Skull is also my favourite villain since Terence Stamp as General Zod.

3. X-Men First Class - I always found the original X-Men trilogy underwhelming and Wolverine was a farce but this one was superb. I wasn't expecting anything from it and it totally shocked me how awesome it was. Magneto Nazi Hunter was the best part of the whole movie and Fassbender's performance is one of the best I've ever seen in any movie.

4. Thor - Just superb, I never thought they could make a Thor movie but by god did this rock and totally changed my opinion on the character. Also Asgaard looked unbelievable just stunning.

5. The Incredible Hulk - Edward Norton as Bruce Banner, I never thought it'd work boy was I wrong. What a film the Hulk looks fantastic aswell, its a shame they didn't make this film in the first place. That scene at the University was incredible also an end fight that didn't disapoint.

6. Iron Man - awesome movie, from the casting of Downey Jr to the FX just superb/ The humour is brilliant aswell. Only complaint the end fight is abit of a let down but its a minor complaint.

7. Spider-man 2: The best of the Raimi trilogy in my opinion. The action is amped up from the first film, the FX are better and its just darned cool.

8. Spider-man - One of the best origin stories in Comic Book Movie history sadly though the film seems more corny now think its with the new realistic approach the movies seem to have these days.

9. Blade - this film is still superb and for me the best of the Blade movies. I really can't imagine a Blade film without Snipes.

10. Fantastic Four 2: Rise of the Silver Surfer - I don't get the hate this film gets, it is a little short but its just so freaking cool. The Silver Surfer looks amazing shame what they did to Galactus but imagine the money it would have cost to do. Just a fun comic book movie and I miss these sorts of films nowadays.

Top 10
