What are your favourite teaser trailers for Comic Book Movies?

The teaser for Hulk 2003 is one of my favourites! Remember seeing it as kid, and when I saw the skin turning green, I knew who it was immediately! Even though the film, isn't as great, I still love watching it!

Crowe’s Jor-El narration in the Man of Steel teaser is one my favorite singular comic-to-film translations.

“They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge... Me."

Batman Begins. Fantastic monologue.

Although if I remember it correctly, it wasn't in the movie?

It wasn't, and the movie was better off for it. It's the kind of monologue that would only really work in a trailer.

+1
I essentially lost it when I first watched that teaser.
And nothing ever came close after that.

It probably has to do with the post-2010 market «*saturation*» of superhero movies and the fact that studios hardly do actual teaser trailers anymore.

Thor: Ragnarok's teaser trailer is my favorite. Perfectly put together with the Immigrant Song.

I was about to add Logan's Johnny Cash trailer but I realized it was a full trailer, not a teaser.

When this trailer was released, it completely wiped the slate clean for superhero movies. It looked more an edgy sci-fi thriller with weird visuals set in the real world than it anything like a superhero movie had been before.* Batman & Robin suddenly seemed like a hundred years ago, and not three as was actually the case.

*Before anyone mentions Blade, Blade is a martial arts-horror movie, not a superhero movie.

The Spider-Man World Trade centre teaser. Of course it had to be cancelled, but it's worth watching because it is very good. Spidey webbing up a helicopter full of crooks is really the perfect way to announce his arrival on the big screen. We've never gotten a real answer as to whether it was just shot for the trailer, or it would have been in the movie. I'm tempted to think the latter, as it's the sort of huge cinematic introduction a superhero needs. In the movie proper, Spidey just foils a grocery store robbery as his first heroic act.

^That teaser displayed a very very powerful arm hauling the copter all that distance. Epic teaser that makes me think "Overpowered to the nth"

Blade is definitely a superhero movie. It goes regardless if you judge it by if it has a super powered hero, or if it is based on superhero comics. Just like how GotG is a space opera doesn't change the fact that it's also a superhero movie.

I well up everytime I watch/hear this, to this day, it's power is deeply effecting, combined with the choice of music they had laid over the top.

Easy. These two:

Sure, they're not the best trailers ever but god damn the feeling when i first saw these, i was losing my ****.
