She can't move a crowd worth jack $#!T. Her voice is grating. She's cold and robotic with every interview. Then you have the baggage which you can easily dismiss but the average suburbanite bought hook, line and sinker.

Also, Hillary did terrible among white women ,a demographic she should've had in the bag. So it's not just misogynist who rejected her.

We see Trump as a con artist but plenty of people saw him as refreshingly straight forward and honest. People are idiots.

There will never be a woman President unless it is a Republican. Hillary, with all her flaws, is still a serious and qualified person and for her to lose-or even be close-with such a disgusting piece of filth like Trump just shows how much women are hated in this country.

And that's not just by men. Some women hate other women quite a bit, and that is why she lost the white woman vote. I live in the South, and I can tell you just how much white women down here hate her and hate all Democrats-but the hate the women Democrats most of all.

There are a lot of good and decent people in this country, but there are also a lot of very disgusting and hate filled people. The fact that Trump was even competitive, much less that he won, is a terrible indictment of the American people.

Thats a bold statement considering the GOP and the Dem parties may not even exist in 50 - 100 years. Political parties die or metamorph into other parties. Its happened multiple times in this country. Eventually there will be a female president that isnt a Republican or a conservative. Eventually there will be a female preaident that isnt a Republican or a Democrat. That is pretty much an inevitability.

The country hates women too much to elect a one, unless she is a republican? That's contradictory.

Unless they clone Margret Thatcher or Ayn Rand.

Or find a way to combine Obama's popularity with say someone competent!

Maybe Obama's wife?

Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication...and WOW, Comey is a leaker

I don't understand. How can he be vindicated if they were lies and false statements?

It seems to be his standard response

"We should hunt down and prosecute to the full extent of the law the people that leaked the completely fake information" :loco:

(probably using smaller words though"

All I know is, Democrats need to find someone people would be interested in voting for in a positive sense rather than just voting against Trp "Anyone but Trump" won't work any better than "Anyone but Bush" did in 2004.

I really do hate this revisionist narrative. John Kerry was calling for universal healthcare, legalization of gay marriage, increased educational funding for low income college students, a streamlined immigration process designed to help existing illegal immigrants obtain citizenship while beefing border security and targeting those who employ illegals so as to avoid the problem repeating itself, and a revamped Iraq strategy that focused on an international coalition with reductions in US troops. He was also calling for an international effort to combat climate change. Again, Kerry was calling for all of this in 2004.

Regardless of the merits of his proposals, Kerry had a platform that was progressive and liberal by modern standards, 13 years ago. The idea that he ran on an "I'm not Bush" platform is absurd, revisionist history that, for whatever reason, has been accepted as conventional wisdom by the Democratic Party over the past 13 years. Hell, if anyone ran an "at least I'm not a Republican" campaign, it was Obama, who didn't have a platform behind "hope" and "change" for the entirety of his campaign. And it was the most successful campaign ever to boot.

This is why democracy sucks. Your average voter isn't smart. They don't look at platforms and really try to understand the policies. All they care about are flashy campaign slogans and, if the circumstances are ripe during an election, the promise of protection and revenge against (usually) terrorists.

Politicians don't run on campaigns that are scientifically literate, backed by facts and studies, and logical. They run based on emotion. Our former Prime Minister, Steven Harper, ran on campaigns aimed at fixing the economy (as all conservatives do) and being "tough on crime." Those tough on crime policies led to harsher sentences for youth and will inevitably create worse criminals down the line. Facts be damned! The people want their gut reactions satisfied.

Or whom would they want to get a beer with.

That's true. Being likeable is extremely valuable. Hence why Canada now has Trudeau as a prime minister.

So I see Fox News talking heads are saying that now is the best possible time to end the investigation cause there hasn't been any solid evidence of collusion, and the Dems and liberals are wasting time and money looking for it. Yeah after the Comey testimony, I think we're just getting into the crazy.

I personally like the "Trump didn't ask for personal loyalty, but there is nothing wrong if he does ask for personal loyalty".

If we had the popular vote the last 16 years might've looked like this.

President Gore - 2000-2008

President Obama - 2008-2016

President Hillary Clinton - 2016

All of them won the popular vote each time they ran.

Looking for collusion with an authoritarian and hostile foreign power is a waste of time.

Democrats use the wrong server or get a BJ, use all resources available to find out the truth and charge them with high crimes.

Is this bizarro world?

Yeah if there was only something we could cite that wasted tax payer money by having multiple "investigations" and hearings over and over, yet each time provided no real evidence, but Republicans and Fox News continued to pursue. I'm sure it will come to me eventually.

this is crazy what the GOP is doing. They're afraid to cut him loose. They're really afraid what the investigation might eventually reveal. They're afraid Putin has dirt on them too. They're boxed into a corner.

When the Speaker of the House tells the press and world that the President of the United States really doesn't know what he's doing as his way of defending his incompetence, there's really a huge problem with this country.

Can Trump fire him? I'm certain he won't like being painted as incompetent. He just doesn't seem like the type that could let that go...

Trump seems to be channeling his anger towards Comey by simply saying it's all lies and Comey is the REAL traitor (leaking his personal memos equals treason when it's the Republicans). Did Hastert do this to explain away Bush's strange speeches?

It doesn't have to make sense. All he has to do is say it and his supporters will believe and repeat it.
