Letting a crazy man start a nuclear war sets a far worse precedent. And they wouldnt be invoking the 25th because they dont like him. This goes way beyond popularity. They'd be invoking the 25th because Trump is crazy, unfit for office, a danger to this country, its people, the international community, its economy, and humans in general.

Trump's FCC pick is also bending the rules, and using a loophole to allow Sinclair Broadcasting to buy 40 more mom and pop local news stations. Which then gets added on to their 170 other stations. Allowing them to go from 32% statewide coverage to 70%.

Who is Sinclair Broadcasting? A far right wing group. Very pro Trump. They force local news stations to all read the same headlines, literally word for word. They also force them to air segments with a host named Boris who gives very pro Trump news, and uses words like snowflake.

Basically the Trump WH bent the rules to allow what could end up being Fox on steroids. I put links to this story in the Fox News thread. The danger of this, and why it's worse than Fox, is we all know Fox is Fox. Sinclair is forcing its message in between segments of your local park opening up a new basketball court.

Rachel Maddows killed it with her opening segment, IMO. I may not always appreciate the obvious bias, but Maddows typically does a great job setting up a story.

Tying today's news of the NK, to the DIA's report of NK having nukes 3 years ago, and Obama firing Flynn shortly after it when it was proven false. Then comparing how the other intelligence agencies, and SK denied the DIA's report back then. However today they didn't denounce the report, and Japan backed it up. Then comparing NK's previous crazy rhetoric to Trump's. It was well done.

Not to mention how she delivered the NK statement of wolves paws strangling was funny.

The same people trying to make it harder for the elderly, and their families to sue their abusers in nursing homes.

The same people cutting legal immigration in half.

The same people trying to sue colleges for practicing affirmative action.

The same people who are trying to remove workplace protections for LBGTQ people.

At this point, I'd be more surprised if they didn't try something like this. Tomorrow we'll probably find out the Trump WH is trying to make drowning batches of puppies in burlap sacks legal. Or prevent mothers from seeing their newborn babies until they turn 18. So much of this feels random, almost cruelty for cruelties sake.

well for one thing we didn't have a crazy man in the WH. And Khrushchev wasn't crazy either. Yeah it was high stakes brinksmanship but ICBMs weren't really a thing.

Sometimes I see things which genuinely make me wonder if human civilization has peaked and we are devolving now.

It felt like the Human race was on the up for a while but now it feels like we could easily just wipe our selves out through our own poor choices (climate change, nuclear war, religious fanatical terrorism, ect).

Orphans should have to pay rent

Washington - It was reported recently that President Trump believes orphans are a strain on the economy. Sources near the White House say he believes big corporations should be able to buy orphanages, and tattoo advertisements on the orphans living there.

Recently at a press conference President Trump was quoted as saying, "For far too long orphans have expected you, the tax payer, to pay their expenses. Yet China profits off of orphans in sweat shops. Lock Hillary up, #MAGA".
