If Trump is going to openly just dismiss the entire US intelligence community's analysis not only of election meddling that has already happened, but also their warnings about impending election interference, then by rights he's into dereliction of duty territory and failing to discharge his oath of office. And by extension his enablers and protectors in Congress are committing dereliction of duty too and throwing this country under the bus for sheer partisan politics. And some of them, like Nunes, McConnell, and Ryan, might be guilty of considerably worse than that, like actively aiding and abetting.

And what do we do with traitors? Hmm....

How can Mattis, Pompeo, or any of guys expect morale in their ranks to not plummet even more? How can they not have morals and say “You know, I support our Commander in Chief but this guy is denigrating the hard work the US federal government has done”. How can Mattis, a career military man, just tow the line for a man who deferred service?

You know you done and ****ed up when Fox is having issues providing cover.

NJ.com - Seychelles meetings probed by Mueller included several Russians: exclusive

Several Russians, some linked to the Kremlin, participated in meetings in the Seychelles in January 2017 and are subjects of an ongoing investigation into Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential election, according to the island's aircraft data and sources with knowledge of the meetings.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller is examining a series of meetings that took place in the Seychelles, an archipelago in the Indian Ocean, as part of a broader investigation into Russian meddling. The inquiry into the meetings suggests there is growing interest by the Mueller team into whether foreign financing, specifically from Gulf states, has influenced President Donald Trump and his administration.

That could be any number of reasons we don't have access to. They didn't find anything juicy, or whatever they came up with wasn't particularly useful manipulation-wise. Or just plain they never actually got access to twitter feeds and stuff like they managed to with Podesta. A lot of the Abedin stuff seems to have come from all the Carlos Danger cluster**** too.

Vlad's peeps did organize a couple of the lefty protests on inauguration day, basically what they found is that the Ruskies were all over the election playing both sides of the field. It's a major violation, absolutely, but you've gotta take into account they made attempts on both sides of this.

Reading public of America and the world... This is the issue. A so called "centrist" always takes the side of casting doubt about what we are all seeing in real time right before our own eyes and backed up all too often by the public pronouncements of our own intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

This is literally 2+2=4 now. We need to all wait for the official findings of the special council of course but seriously? Why didn't they release the info obtained from their hack of the RNC? I don't know, maybe because as the various pertinent agencies involved have already stated the hackers were in the bag for the then GOP candidate to the point as has been recently revealed that they literally did candidate Trump's bidding when he asked them to "find the missing e-mails"?

Acting like just because there was some stirring up of both sides by this Russian intelligence operation that somehow this exonerates the Trump campaign or proves that this is all just some kind of sour grapes thing feels obtuse in the extreme.

I find it funny that the racism, misogyny and obstruction of justice is all perfectly acceptable but putting down our country’s intelligence while defending Russia is the one that throws the GOP over the edge. I mean yeah, they should be outraged but it’s funny this is the hill they chose to die on.

Agreed. They started out somewhat defiant of some of Trump's worse deeds. Then as time went on they got completely in line behind him. Now, they suddenly have a spine again about this one issue.

Just take Mitt Romney. He says during the last election that Russia was our number 1 geo political foe. Trump bashes him, and he argues back. The two must have hated each other. Now? Romney sucks up to Trump, who is sucking up to Russia.

Either a lot of people are getting some under the table deals, or the entire GOP secretly decided it was opposite day...err opposite year.

Trump is at worst totally compromised by Putin. At best scared to death of him.

The Washington Post - ‘Very much counter to the plan’: Trump defies advisers in embrace of Putin

Ahead of the meeting, staffers provided Trump with some 100 pages of briefing materials aimed at laying out a tough posture toward Putin, but the president ignored most of it, according one person familiar with the discussions, who requested anonymity to disclose internal deliberations. Trump’s remarks were “very much counter to the plan,” the person said.

“Everyone around Trump” was urging him to take a firm stance with Putin, according to a second person familiar with the preparations. In advance of Monday’s meeting, the second person said, advisers covered everything from Russia’s annexation of Crimea to its meddling in the U.S. elections, but Trump “made a game-time decision” to handle the summit his way.
The U.S. president spent much of the weekend “growling,” in the words of one White House official, over his own Justice Department’s indictment on Friday of 12 Russian intelligence officials for interfering in the 2016 election.

He fretted that the timing of the indictments was intended to injure him politically, the offical said. He also made clear that he was more excited to sit down with the Russian president than he had been to visit with NATO allies earlier in the week in Brussels.

I've been busy all day and just turned on the TV and found out Russia didn't meddle in the election after all! What a huge sigh of relief.

The beginning of the end... Rohrabacher's goose is cooked. Butina might finger him to get a lighter sentence.

All roads lead to Trump.
