There have been so many people who were excited for this movie, and a lot of people who weren't. Now that so many of us have seen the film, I thought it might be interesting to have a clear indication of what everyone's thoughts were leading up to the film, and how they felt afterwards.

Where you excited for the reboot? Where you against it? Where your opinions validated, or upon seeing the film, did it change your opinion?

(this isn't a rate and review thread - I'm just curious to see how your thoughts on the reboot changed or were validated after seeing the film)

I was excited for it and left with a huge smile on my face. I had a few gripes about the movie, but nothing major.

I was incredibly pro-reboot. I'd never been so excited for a movie before.

When I was in line waiting for the movie though (which was huge, just saying) I was really ****ing nervous about the movie. I think those negative reviews got to me. But I left the theater very, very satisfied and it was a really fun night.

I was VERY excited for the film, as I was not happy with the previous films.

BUT, whilst excited, I still had a niggle about it.

After seeing it though, I am one VERY VERY happy bunny :D

...Yeah, so I'm a moron. I should have added options for people who were just unsure of the reboot. Any chance a Mod could modify the poll to accommodate those options?

I was extremely excited. Once my friends and I got by the scanning for our screening passes, I jumped up :awesome:

I'd say I was definitely pro-reboot and always hoped it would work out well, especially after finding out the villain was the Lizard (he's my favourite Spidey villain and I'd been looking forward to him being a film villain for a decade now), though I didn't get REALLY excited until the first real trailer was released. I sometimes had reservations or got nervous after watching certain clips, though I can't remember what exactly now.

Anyway, I ended up loving the film and definitely plan on seeing it several more times -- it's not perfect for sure and it could have been (even) better, but I'm happy and enjoyed myself.
