Anyone see a difference in the new Marvel films about to come out under KF as compared to the ones Avi put out?

Isn't Avi still on board as producer though? He was at the Marvel Pictures panel at Comic Con.

Yes, Avi's still active as a producer. He's just giving the final say like he used to anymore. Someone replaced him a few months back.

Well Feige was Avi's right hand man. Now that Marvel has a foot hole in the industry and is banking on Iron Man and IH to blow that door open, the movies will be conceivably of higher calibur like those two (save of course for Sam Raimi's Spidey movies and Singer's first two X-Men outings) and faithfulness.

But to get to this point of convience we needed the terrible producer who cared only about the bottom dollar and ****ed every franchise he could this way to "Sing-sing."

That would be Arad by the way.

Arad's out? That's good news imo.

I always felt he only cared about the bottom line and thus was a threat to the quality of the films. Just my opinion though.

I hope Feige is better and will have a better grasp on how to handle movies.

Well, it got pretty annoying reading Arad's interviews after a while playing up the films and comparing them to past stories (like how Banner's relationship to Betty hearkened back to the King Kong movie or the relationship in Beauty and the Beast). I haven't read as nearly annoying interviews from Feige yet.

I guess that's about all we really have to compare them. However, it did seem that Arad (like the Fox producers) was more concerned with the bottem dollar > film quality. However, that's there job as producer. What it always comes down to in the end is money.

How did Avi's film version of "Bratz" do? The only reason he did well was because he had good characters to work with.

Yeah Bratz did tank.

Arad's not really out though. He still seems to be actively involved as a producer in all the movies that have been set up for now.

^true, but I think it's as an exec producer. A lot of times just given early involvement and rights certain names are carried through as producers or exec producers (e.g. Burton on Batman Forever, MSJ on Elektra, Goyer (I think) on Ghost Rider) - but they're real involvement is minimal.

What's that based on though? I don't think his involvement is any less than what it was before. All the movies and deals that were made for Marvel in the works right now were all set up under his regime and he had a hand in them.

Arad never seemed to be grateful for the position he was in. He would come off as a slight bit to ignorant, at least to me. Anyway -- Feige had some good comments at both panels this year. He was a driving force to get HULK rebooted. :oldrazz:
