Feige wants to explore the cosmic side of Marvel?

I'm sure you've all read the interview on the main page.

Now it wasn't the talk of Thor, Stark, Cap and Hulk that interested me, it was this little nugget...

I'd love to break into the cosmic side of the Marvel Universe even more- it's kind of there in 'Thor.' J.J. Abrams' 'Star Trek' got me jonesing to do that. It's what I grew up on - 'Star Trek' and 'Star Wars.' I want to do a big space epic. And we've got them in Marvel

I'm thinking Annihilation. That would probably be the most awesome thing ever. Like the Marvel version of Star Wars. But with giant bugs and Annihilus and Thanos instead of Stormtroopers and Vader and Palpatine.

I think they need to try animated movies first. Like animated versions of NOVA and Guardians of the Galaxy.

Ahahaha! I knew this'd happen. The guys heard what WB's is up to with green lantern and now he's gonna prep a hastily put together Nova movie or summat to get in the action.

Nova is just as awesome as GL though IMO. Well, Rich is better than Hal. Rich is like a combination of Kyle and Hal.

And Annihilation is probably one of the best comic book events in the last 10 years. Would be mental to see it on the big screen.

I'm just saying that this a rather telling little statement from feige... It smacks of bandwagon jumping, of getting in while the going is good (and not because they, y'know, actually WANT to make a decent nova movie) It feels like a very cynical move on their part...

But their track record is good so far. If they did go ahead with a cosmic movie I'd be all for it.

I'd like to see a Silver Surfer movie, but with a very broad philosophical theme. Killraven would also work for space adventures.

Considering how fantastic Marvel's cosmic side has been lately, I would love to see what they could do. I feel Annihilation Wave might be difficut to get on screen. Lots of characters, lots of spinoffs, lots of history involved. A cartoon series would be work quite nicely

I would absolutely love to see an Inhumans movie. It has the mostpotential to be the next Star Wars. Fantasy plot elements in a sci-fi setting.

I smell a 4 movie arc culminating in an (avengers) like epic! Just like Cereal described in an other thread.

Then I say, "bring on the horror!" Man-Wolf, Moon Knight, Werewolf by night, Tomb of Dracula, Blade, Frankenstien's creature, maybe even Man-Thing in a three movie serial!

I personally think an Annihilation trilogy, adapted pretty much 100% from the comics, would be the most spectacular sci-fi trilogy ever, it would just be astonishing, and if they ever get round to doing, I would blurt on the spot!

^It would give the biggest nergasm I have possibly ever had, it doesnt contain many of my favourite characters, I only previously liked SS and Drax, but the writing and story-telling is just so good it was just an amazing read.

My mind honestly boggles at the possibility of a movie version.

I say have it as a tv series a la Farscape. That way you can get details of every character...........then spin it off for a SS series.
