What Harris and Walz are doing is owning "old" conservatism (not religious bigotry "conservatism")....by saying "mind your own business" and so forth....there's definitely a place for personal privacy, but I get goddamn tired of privatizing profits and socializing expenses.

My mom, a republican, had a saying; "people should pay more attention to their own business and less attention to other's".

Contrary to what the article says, as long as Trump and Vance keep doubling down on doing and saying weird things to which to apply to label to, especially Trump, who seems to be getting even more and more unhinged and unraveled, then calling them weird will still be as effective 2–3 months down the line, if not more so.

Messaging only doesn’t work if you don’t have anything to back it up with, which is why MAGA are flailing so hard right now. They’re trying to come up with all these things to use against their opposition, but none of it is sticking because it’s either trying to make all of the good stuff they do look bad but having the opposite effect and making them look even better, or it’s just plain straight up lies that are just poor imitations of rumors about things Vance may or may not have done. They’re not only terrible about coming up with ammunition against their foes, they can’t even come up with anything original.

Yeah.....just keep quoting some of the S*** that Trump says and say "That's Weird". He'll give them plenty of material.
 
Walz may have reintroduced ‘weird’ into the conversation about Trump and his new running mate but George W Bush also said it about Trump over 7 years ago.

At the moment, as nothing’s sticking they’re going scattershot with the insults trying everything under the sun. Trump doesn’t seem to have the energy any more and is coming up with same old crap that is no longer working. Weird, boring bastard! :funny:

Not surprising. These aren’t made up insults like the ones Trump is coming out with, they’re true so it’s no surprise if others think/say the same.

Generally speaking, people want to believe in a brighter future. You can scare people, but it only works for so long. Biden ran the country for 4 years and the sky didn't fall. In fact, things seem to be improving. Fear works best when there's a lot of uncertainty.

The message of Harris and Walz seems to have caught on and she's making steady progress.

It’s been a great start to the campaign with positivity at the forefront rather than only hitting out at the other side. Trump isn’t too good at that part.
