i agree
a lot of celebs (pcd, hilton and the like), give young girls the wrong concept of "female empowerment". there's nothing empowering about wearing lingerie while singing, or getting the popparazzi (sp?) to take pictures of you getting out of a car sans underwear.
there's few female celebs out there that i really respect. and i guess that could be said about "regular people" too.
i'm intelligent. i'm sarcastic and funny. i can be an utter geek at times, but also watch chick flicks with my gal pals and then talk sports scores with my guy pals. you'll find me in a t-shirt and jeans just about everyday, and i don't follow what society says is "cool and in".
i do my own thing, and i'm happy with who i am. to me, that's more empowering than anything the pussycats and the like are trying to claim as empowering.
