If they made a movie where Ghost Rider was a female, would you see it?

Yes

No

What would be the point of that? I'm all for change when it makes sense and serves a purpose but that would just be change for the sake of it. Why bother?

On seeing it, yes, I'd definitely see it. The problem is that gender changes in comics happen just for the sake of it as Wesley mentioned. Some of them kinda work (I love me some Lady Deadpool) but they are almost, always about the same boy centered stories and characters that their male counterparts were about.

A female GR story should be made with a fresh story and mindset for a female superhero and not a spin-off from the male centered character. I haven't read the recent books with a lady GR so maybe they've done it correctly.

No, but I say that in the same sense that I wouldn't like to see a movie about a male version of Wonder Woman (or any other originally female superhero).

IMHO, they didn't. She had no personality for the first few issues, and in the latest, she spend most of the issue talking about shopping malls.

Seriously.

I might buy an animated movie but there isn't even an established Female GR. why bother?

Actually, there have been a few in the comics, including Johnny's mom. But she had a personality....

i didnt think Ghost Riders could be females until i saw the comics. not to be sexist, but i just thought that the Wrath of God would come from a man only...does everyone know what i mean by the Wrath of God?? have you all read the GR comic series about Johnny's quest to find the archangel Zadkiel???

Johnny Blaze and Danny Ketch will always be the only real Ghost Riders in my eyes.

I would see it. Because I see pretty much every CBM that comes out.

I am not into the current GR run with the chick..

Would have preferred to see Howard the Duck get GR's power...:cwink:

HFM

Danny Ketch is a Johnny come lately Ghost Rider in my eyes. He is a fake and deserves to be forgotten like the rest of the crap from the 1990s!

That would just be weird imagery

It will be hard to focus on her eyes during the penance stare.

How could a female Ghost Rider have boobs? Isn't that just fatty tissue? Boobs aren't bones, so they would completely disappear when she transforms, and would look as flat chested as a male version, meaning that there will be nothing to set her apart other than when she's in her civilian identity.

I never took it as the Ghost Rider's body actually disentigrated when he transformed....but rather became transparent.

But from the movies it seems to suggest that his body does disintegrate. You see his face and flesh burning off him, and his hands, when uncovered, look like pure bone.

In any case, Ghost Rider's look is a rather male image. Even if a female one has boobs, the rest of her still looks male.

Unfortunately GR has been shown to have muscles so boobs are definitely feasible. There was a female version of the GR, Naomi Kale, (Blaze's real mom) who was a host, and she would transform into the male rider. Marvel writers are never consistent.

I would not go see a female Ghost Rider at the movies.

I'm sorry, but an edge character like Ghost Rider is best played by a guy.
