The big bosses are having him (John Krasinski) read with multiple actresses up for the female leads. They want to lock down the role and then they will narrow down everyone else

Who do you think will be the female role allegedly being tested at the moment with John Krasinski who until recently was thought to be the favourite for Steve Rogers.

I hope it's Gail Rogers. I know thats the Ultimate universe but she makes the most sense. I can really see Alexis Bledel playing her.

well logically if its going to be anyone from the comics it is probably his love interest gail richards who was his girlfriend probably before he left for the war. Or its that peggy carter chick if they go with her being a spy in the war or what ever the character is.

well since the krasinski name is out of the running i wonder if the whole female lead thing from that article is still game. Though for me logically if there is a female lead it will probably be gail richards who is his girlfriend back home in the states, or maybe that peggy carter character.

they could always do both gail and peggy. Gail could be cap's girlfriend he had back home before he enlisted/picked the the project. Then maybe she breaks up with him via a letter or something during the film. Cause she fears he wont return..... Then they could add that peggy character as someone he mets up with and maybe has a connection with. But nothing romantically really happens between them.

well they probably wont have the characters together right off the bat, plus it seems she will be romantically connected to stark i think. So they could leave sharon carter for cap in avengers/later cap solo films if/when the character is to be added.
