probably just an advert but please please please be real :csad:

Even though this is just for the super bowl, it would be amazing if they were ever able to do a sequel along these lines.

Broderick said he and John Hughes had talked about a sequel on and off for several years, but with Hughes dead, I believe Broderick said it is never going to happen.

I'd love to see a sequel with older Bueller, but I don't know if I'd want to see it without John Hughes.

the thing practically writes itself.

you have a middle aged ferris who has taken loads of sick days and he has been warned if he takes another one he'll be sacked (or whatever) so there are stakes and it isn't just a case of ringing in sick.

you have an antagonist at work who wants his job so wants to despartely prove ferris isn't sick

and off we go. simples.

Yup just a superbowl ad cant wait to see it though.

Finally, a Superbowl add I am actually looking forward to that doesn't involve movies.

nearly 3,000,000 views on youtube in one day for a 10 second short. wow.

Chick...chickachicka.

I'd be so down for a Ferris Bueller 2. It'd be interesting to see the generational reflection.

they would need a way to have concequences if they are caught and they would also need to manufacture a 'ticking clock' which in the original was getting home before his mum and dad got back.

but it would be really good to a prancster in middle age and commentry on going to work every day and needing to take a break

But it does...:awesome:

I'm liking this new trend of reviving characters from classic movies for Superbowl commercials. They did the same thing a few years ago with the Griswolds from "National Lampoon's Vacation"

I dont think ruck would do it, i think i saw something recently where he doesnt give much care any more for ferris bueller.

what exactly is he up to though? he makes guest appearances in tv shows, that's about it.

Maybe him getting back into the role for a spot. Could change his mind if an opportunity came up ?

It is not like he is doing anything good these days & besides the right money offer will make almost anyone change their mind

oh sure he may not be doing things much lately but maybe he just out of the business or doing other life things. IT happens some times folks have no interest in returning to a role if a sequel comes yrs later. But then ya you got folks who could do it if they are convinced by other cast mates or money.

I remember Chevy Chase and Beverly DAngelo did something like this not too long ago . It's always cool to see but I never expect it to go anywhere. I kind of want to see it but it would be hard to meet expectations without a really good script.

the script would make or break the movie. it would have to feel fresh to not feel like a shameless retread but at the same time give enough nods to the original for the fans that expect it.

Jalopnik is saying that it's an ad for [BLACKOUT]Honda[/BLACKOUT]. Link

Anytime there's talk of a potential sequel, everybody wants it, yet it never gets made.

But they're still cranking out sequels to Ghost Rider, Resident Evil, Final Destination, when NONE OF US asked for them. Explain that logic.

Take the money you would've spent on making Fast and Furious 6, and use it to make Ferris Bueller 2. GOD DAMN IT.
