Since the Disney-era SW is a bunch of "homages" to the past, The second films in each OT and PT respectively had a Fett appear/debut. Do you think they'll keep that tradition going with Episode VIII?

It wouldn't be IX, it would be VIII...

Come now, that's not going to happen.

Boba Fett is getting his own film. That's more than enough. Not to mention he could be appearing in the Han Solo movie.

More than likely show up in the Han Solo movie. Can't see Fett getting his own movie.

I guess a lot of you are assuming Boba Fett, but I was thinking more his kid or something.

It's already being planned as far as I know. Boba Fett is a popular character. Don't see why they wouldn't give him his own film.

Well, it's very possible he could have had a kid, but it would have had to have been before Return Of The Jedi. If they went that route, which I really hope they don't, then I prefer he had a daughter rather than a son.

Temuera would be the perfect age for an old Boba

Going by the Aftermath book, someone else got the armor...so...just saying.

Disney's been pretty mum on Boba, which is interesting.

They could've easily shoehorn him into Rogue One, but they didn't. Not even a quick Slave One shot. We still haven't seen him in Rebels, and the only active role he has/had was in the Marvel comics.

It probably means they have big plans for him but what? Vile One is right about Aftermath, and that could set up someone taking the mantle.

And if you have a movie with Boba Fett himself, you gotta do it Dredd style. Leave the helmet on. Disfigure him, whatever.

Obviously, they have some rough idea on what's going on with Boba Fett. Something will happen with him down the line. Whether it's his own pre-Empire solo movie, a bounty hunter movie or something in a TV show, they know what's going to happen with him at some point. And they know if he's alive or dead. They just don't want to say yet. They are just waiting for that big event to actually do it.

Look, it was the same thing with the Legends characters. A lot of fans got so angry and ticked off that some beloved characters went away, and then Thrawn is back in Rebels. Disney and Lucasfilm knew they were going to be using Thrawn in Rebels. They knew they were going to do a new revised canon book and reintroduce Thrawn.

Same thing with Fett. I'm not saying Fett's definitively alive, but Disney and Lucasfilm obviously have big plans for him due to his popularity alone. I think they are just waiting for the right project to come along, and then it will be an over-saturation of Fett. People will be porking out on Fett. It will be Fett-mania.

Once again, we can thank Josh Trank though for all the delays.

Now if we are being honest, I hate what Lucas did with the Fetts in Attack of the Clones. Did we really need to see kid Boba Fett? Was it really necessary to make Jango Fett the clone template? C'mon.

All we know now is that some Tatooine sheriff named Cobb has acquired what was for all intents and purposes Boba Fett's armor salvaged by the jawas after Return of the Jedi. Now that makes me think somehow Fett made it out alive considering the sarlacc is supposed to digest you for hundreds of years. But then why would he abandon the armor, especially if the armor was still a full set in working condition?

But I will be annoyed if it's a matter of Boba Fett being a mantle that gets passed around. I always just liked the idea that Boba Fett was just a highly competent bounty hunter doing his thing. I always saw him as a Clint Eastwood man with no name type. He's really not serving anyone except his own pocket book.

We really don't need more Fetts. And that's coming from a guy who has loved Boba Fett since I was a small kid. There can be too much of a good thing. He's just a bounty hunter, that's it. Anything more and suddenly the universe seems even smaller.
