FF2 Game Thread

this game blows.. the first game was much better.. which is not saying much.
I prefer the free roam style myself.. the spidey 3 game is much better then this.

What system are you playing for? Are you on 'fantastic' setting?

For my game there is no limit in anything. Got the 360 one.

Are you sure it's timed or just seems like it's timed?

I've almost beaten the entire game- at the military base right now.

Great co-op.

It was just one level that is timed.

You see the super skrull and then he leaves

then you have to fight a buuuunch of bad guys

withing 4 minutes or the 4lazers in each corner kill you

its the only timed mission/level thing ive done so far.

Are you on 'fantastic' or 'normal'? I played that on normal and was never timed... I just pick up the guys- comically enough- as Ben Grimm and hurl them into the big hole in the center. They all die rather quickly. Maybe that's why no timer ever appeared for me.

I got the game last night...

I think it's okay. The first one is better as of right now. The graphics aren't too 360-like, though I'm not gonna complain because they are still pretty good.
But my main problem is that the fighting gets cut off too much. Like if I'm Thing and doing my charge-running move, a laser blast just stops me. And the controls are a little hard to get used too.

Hopefully, once I've upgraded my characters some more it will start getting better.

(and the voice acting, in this Marvel game, is terrible...once again)

I have completed the game already (on Fantastic mode), and I only started playing last night. :(

Same Here, this game was way too easy , and another thing that pissed me off was no ability to roam free around the city of NYC (Like in spidey 2 & 3)

im on normal

and it gives me 4minutes to kill the hundreds of bad guys.

Can somebody please tell me what to do in the Susan Storm solo mission at the military base?

I get passed the security. Up to the lots of killer machines. Sneak past them. Drop down. Access the computer- then what do I do?

Please be specific in points... thanks.

beat it. doom boss is too easy. good combat system. good terrax and super skrull. good unlockable costumes (60s,80s,90s,ultimate)

i have it for ps2

and maybe its just me but i think the graphics suck

the first game looked better.

They should stop making these Marvel games on PS2.

Spider-Man 3's graphics on PS2 are worse than Spider-Man 2's.

Worth getting this game for PS2?

Just wanna know if i shall keep my money or not ;)

what a shame, i bought the ps2 this past christmas just to find out that it wasn't the great console i expected it to be.. atleast talking about this kind of games ..spider-man 2 had very bad and i would say incomplete graphics, especially in the so called in game movies, sometimes they open their mouth when they talk, sometimes not, the buildings are messed up ..the tobey maguire replica was weird and so on... anyway to be honest i wasn't even sure there was a ps2 ff2 version but i guess i won't see iron man on this console and maybe it's not a bad thing. well i'm playing incredible hulk and it's quite decent and i'm waiting to play punisher... if only they would make some kind of sequel to predator concrete jungle for ps2... i think when they will release the ps4 i will get the ps3 ..or maybe i will play back my psx. ..oh by the way does anybody know if there's a end clip after you finish that crappy aliens vs predator extinction??? i finished one specie per profile, is this the reason why i don't get any end clip? should i finish all the three in one profile? ..sorry for the off topic.

Run around, avoid robots and cameras with invisibility, hit every damn switch you see and go back to where you started.

That's what I did lol.

Did you guys enjoy this game then?
I borrowed it to try out and I was disappointed. In my opinon only the Spiderman video games were enjoyable enough to play for a while.

HI GUYS, I'VE BEEN PLAYING THE GAME ON MY PS3 AND I LIKE IT!!! IT'S SIMPLE MIND YOU, BUT IT'S FUN AND THE TEAM ASPECT OF THE GAME WORKS WELL!!! THE SUPERSKRULL BOSS FIGHT WAS FUN, IT'S NOT A HARD GAME BUT THEN AGAIN YOU WON'T GET FRUSTRATED!!! ANYWAY, I'M IN NEW YORK NOW SO I'M NOT TOO FAR INTO IT YET, BUT I LIKE IT SO FAR, I'LL GIVE IT AN 8/10!!!:D:up:

I'm playing it on my Wii and it's quite dreadful, I'm sorry to say.

After three days with it, I wish I could report it was a good experience, but honestly, you're better off skipping this one. The first game was fun for fans of arcade-style beat-em-up action (but two player was a nightmare due to endless glitches - you almost had to stick single player).

This one, however, is painfully monotonous. It's basically a sub-par dungeon crawler (imagine the X-Men Legends series, only not as good). Levels are painfully long with very, very little variety. Don't expect much in the way of puzzles or anything, you're basically just going through the motions of bashing, bashing, bashing endless reams of identical bad guys. You can't even jump. It's nice to have all four at your disposal at once, but you also have to worry about leveling them up and... well, god, this is just a really, really boring game.

If you're playing it on Wii, things are made worse by the awkward list of motion controls. About half the controls work every time, and the other half require repeated attempts to get the controller to understand what you're trying to do.

Even once I got the hang of that, though, it's not like the game gets any better. You'll spend the first few hours wandering an underground labyrinth inhabited by the Skrulls, which lasts for four levels. FOUR LEVELS of the same thing, and my god is it ever annoying. You even have to fight the boss of this segment THREE TIMES before you can officially beat him.

They're doing everything they can to artificially drag this out, and brother, it really shows.

Anyway, the game does look nice in the graphics department, although there's so much going on on the screen that it's very hard to keep track of where the bad guys are and who are your allies because there aren't any clear markers denoting the difference in the midst of a fight with 20 characters on the screen at once. The isometric viewpoint of the camera means that you often find yourself walking right past important passages and items you need to collect because you can't seen into all the nooks and crannies that are hidden by walls. Even the voice actors are... impersonators. Unlike the first movie-based game, they didn't get the real cast to do the voice work this time. It's unfortunate.

Leave this one in the store. 2K Games blew it.
