Also I'm only posting 4 a day.... Ends tommorrow night!

ill tell you now.. sergio leone is better than most if not all those directors

romero... he surprised me with a new twist on zombies..

Tobe hooper for me TCM,Fun house is a guilty pleasure of mine. Romero NOTLD and nothing else. I'll go with Hooper I think he's an underated filmaker.

I voted Romero. I don't think either are really great directors, but Dawn of the Dead is one of my favorite movies and I've simply enjoyed more of Romero's movies than I have Hooper's.

When it comes to Hooper, the first two Texas Chainsaw Massacres are the only ones I really, truly enjoy.

But for Romero, I like the first three Dead films along with Creepshow.

Holy crap man did you come out with that bracket all by yourself?

Orson Welles - Made my favorite movie, Citizen Kane

And yet you STILL leave off Paul Verhoeven from the foreigners list :cmad:

Well considering Citizen Kane is the standard that all movies are measured against,I'd say Welles...He didn't need to make another film after Kane. I do love Kubrick though.

Definitely Chaplin. I love Keaton's films, and his knack for physical comedy has never been matched, but Chaplin is God as far as I'm concerned.

Citizen kane owns!

P.S. I saw 3 Kubrick's movies and only one didn't suck (Dr. Strangelove). So tomorrow I'll give him one more chance - The Shining.

Are you seriously going to make a post for all of these match ups? That's an awful lot of threads.

I personally think that Full Metal Jacket is Kubrick's best film. You should check that out if you haven't already.
