Film possibly being delayed yet again?

good, scrap this entire movie and make tmnt 3 and retcon that trash that came out 20 years ago.

Honestly, even without the reshoots, pushing the film back can only help it, as the August date they chose is a pretty bad month for movies in the first place, and it's also an extremely competitive one this year.

they need a complete overhaul period. Shedder being a business man from NYC and father of april makes this movie netflix status

It's not like November/December is a whole lot better. Between the beginning of November and Christmas it would be competing with Interstellar, Hunger Games 3, Dumb and Dumber 2, Hobbit 3 and Night at the Museum 3 among others.

So they're really making a dumb and dumber 2? Wow. any trailor yet?

I think Hunger Games and Hobbit are the only ones TMNT would have to worry about, and they're spaced far enough apart that they could avoid getting steamrolled. Especially since this movie is going to have to "prove" itself against the mixed reaction it's been getting, it doesn't need a competing film in only its second week competing for TMNT's opening weekend.

Hmm... 1/3 sounds like a lot for reshoots.

Well, we were aware reshoots were still going on. If it's true, it's probably not just talking about reshoots from this point, but the reshoots they've been doing since they were supposed to wrap in order to meet that August deadline.

I wonder if they will work on the CGI faces a bit more as well based no reactions to those if this does get delayed

I doubt it. Unless the turtles are actually bit players in their own movie, that would take completely re-rendering the models for the entire course of the film. Whatever is being altered probably has very little Ninja Turtles in it.

I have to say, while part of me is optimistic about this news (Even without seeing the movie, it's hard to argue that when they delayed the film for a rewrite, it was a vast improvement over the Blue Door) I also know that late-production rewrites almost always hurt the film. Amazing Spider-man suffered from that, and I love that movie.

Well, if it's just ongoing reshoots, alright. Though, 1/3 does seem like a lot to me.

Yeah. I should be clear that I'm not 100% sold on the authenticity of this news. I've never heard of this website before. But considering they certainly are still shooting (or at least were very recently) it would make a lot of sense.

One third is huge. That is an entire act (beginning, middle, end). It has to be an exaggeration as even a quarter of a movie seems like a lot.

Hahahaha.

>No credible source.
>Rumor
>March 31st.

You think people would be used to this.

And the article is dated for the 30th. Maybe the trailer last week was an april fool's joke too?

You mean the trailer that confirmed it will release in the summer that just came out a few days ago?

Yes. Let us believe an article with no source on a small website over the official trailer.

I understand where you're coming from now. Makes total sense. Like 100%. I just... man. How did I need see that? Mind. Blown.

I didn't say the article was legit. I don't know that site and I'm not accepting it as fact until it's confirmed elsewhere. I just find it funny that people are grasping at straws to say that an article posted two days before April 1st is an April Fool's joke.

we have a winner.

It was an honest question. The thought didn't even cross my mind that this was prank till you said so. I'm not good with western holidays or what not.

I figured this was yet another bit of negative 'journalism' put out into the aether to get fans upset about this film. It's kinda been that way since day one. I personally don't believe stories on any small sites. But this being an april fools joke...that's kinda funny. Who knows what it is. I doubt detractors care.

Lots of small sites do this very close to April 1st but not on it. It's not in good taste considering news outlets have often changed the practices with it all going from originally reporting things as fact to now outright jokes as to not confuse hopefuls or doomsayers. But really only the big outlets have changed that practice and lots of smaller sites also have "sources" that do this too. It's really not anything new for April Fools' to do it before and not on.

In fact, I've seen it a lot.

Really though that trailer just dropped on Thurs. there's no way in heck the company is going to delay it 4 days after initially showing it. The article claims M. Bay is taking over production taking away from his blockbuster sequel to a franchise that's raked in millions and millions of dollars. ...For TMNT? An unproven project he signed off on showing to the press last week and the public 4 days ago? Bull.

Probably a bit of both. Some smaller sites do so early because of bad taste (you're supposed to do it on the day) and it's piggybacking off of a hot controversial topic to gain more clicks.

If this site intended it as an April Fool's Day gag, they would likely have more than just one bogus article, or at least make the joke article the most recent one upon April 1st. Since they've been posting legit articles since then, I highly doubt this is a joke.

Not that I'm saying the article itself is accurate. Again, I've never heard of this site and therefore have no idea how trustworthy they are. I'm just saying the likelihood of this being intended as an April Fool's Day gag is really low.

If it is an April Fool's joke they're early. If they're desperate for clicks, it will backfire on them when people realize they are unreliable.

Either way fake news is not the way to garner attention. April Fool's Day being the notable exception, when it actually happens on you know, April 1st.

All you people got probs.
