A friend of mine is saving a project as a movie file and is uploading it to youtube. Problem is, the quality is really bad and the wight is very narrow.

For all you guy and gals that have final cut, what should he be saving it as for best quality and proper settings.

Thanks.

What format is he saving it as? (Doesn't this belong in the tech forum?)

.FLV files thats what they will end up as on youtooob anyway, so either flv or Avi to Flv

Try saving it as something that isn't FLV and let YouTube convert it. Otherwise I dunno. Final Cut is usually a good program.

what's the point in saving it as another format to let youtube convert it when you can save it as FLV in the first place???

And if it's converted into .flv in the first place, it should upload hell of a lot faster aswell

At school we'd normally export our files as QT movie files and they'd come out looking fine.

I don't see the point of saving in .flv format.

There's nothing wrong with testing different file formats.
