It took 7 months, a lot of silence from Square Enix and a ton of infuration, but its finally here.

Some people are reportedly already finding it in select locations. Forbidden Planet in NYC and such. Others have found it at Blockbuster.

So let's try to keep all info. pertaining to Advent Children in this thread from here on out guys.

So far I'm liking what I'm hearing from all the English VA's. I think Kadaj and Cloud sound even better in English. Steven Blum is perfect for Vincent.

I know i just saw it in a Electronic gaming mag this morning i also like the voices i cant wait just 6 days!

Yeah. I'm glad they are finally advertising it. For a while I felt they were missing the boat and the advertising was pretty poor or non-existent.

They have to get the word out and show what the release date is after all the crap we've been through.

But wow, the interviews at the premiere, that IGN lady is pretty annoying.

lol yeah.

So what do u think would be the better deal psp or dvd?

Dude, PSP is a dead format for movies. DVD all the way.

Movie studios are already halting production on PSP. PSP you don't get any of the extras as the DVD set and it costs about the same. You can only watch the PSP version on a crappy 4 inch screen? Umm no.

DVD.

i feel stupid my bad man i forgot about the dvd extras. i was just thinking of watching if on the road but i didnt want to buy both.

Yeah but you know, do you only want to watch Advent Children on the road?

Anyone here ever watch a show called perfect strangers?

Vincent's character design reminds me of Bowki (sp?) :( that kinda ruined my impression of him.

WOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Can't wait for the 25. But I can live for a while longer cuz I have the Japanese version to tide me over :D

I reserved both the UMD and DVD....
UMD might not be the greatest invention but hey, I'll do it for FF7:up:

I'm quite excited. This is probably the most beautifully done animated movie to date. Shrek and Incredibles included.

I'm going to buy it without hesitation come this tuesday. :)

If you are already getting the DVD, why shell out all the extra scratch for the UMD?

Eh, UMDs are close to 50% off if you buy a DVD at the Suncoast where I reserved my copies.
..plus I could use it for trips and such...

Uh, if you mean CGI, I'll agree with you, but just plain animated? I say a Studio Ghibli film probably deserves that honor

^I'm not familiar with a specific title of theirs. Throw one out there. But yeah, I did mean CGI.

Studio Ghibli? They've done:

Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle
Nausicaa
Porco Rosso
The Cat Returns
Grave of the Fireflies

Aaahh, P.Mononoke was beautifully done as well. I always meant to see Spirited Away.

Pretty much. Too busy driving to watch Advent Children :) .

Plus, I don't really want to watch movies on tiny screens like that. No appeal to me at all.

You should watch the others, you'll love them. Although Grave of the Fireflies may send you into a spiral of sadness and depression from which there is no return without medication.

All I got to say is I loved it, the animation is the best I've seen in a while, the fight scenes are awesome, you guys are going to love it.

BTW, I've had it for weeks and just watched it yesterday.

Same, I've had it since November subtitled with DVD quality..

Though the subtitles are questionable(as in thats may or may not be exactly what they're saying) due to it being fansubbed.
