Comics Final Issue of X-Men: Genesis

Is there going to be a tpb of this or should i just go and get them as they are?

After reading issue three, I admit I didn't see this coming. I was prepared to accept that there might've been another new X-Men on the Krakoa mission who died rescuing the original X-Men... but an entire team who died? Wow. That's pretty heavy. I wonder why these students were put in Moira's care instead of going to the Mansion?

I was hoping Banshee's death would just be some sort of illusion, but it looks like he's really dead. That's a shame.

Writers just CANNOT stop shoehorning stories into an already thick and solid history. Why not just take these 4 new characters and move FORWARD in time with their stories?

I was thinking someone should write a what if storyline, i'm thinking "What if the second team hadn't died on their mission to krakoa?", Maybe the guy who is writing this storyline could do it.

That might be interesting. And if the reality was that they didn't die, the X-Men probably wouldn't include Colossus, Storm, Wolverine, Nightcrawler.

but given these guys were meant to be pre-storm, dazzler, wolverine, nightcrawler, sprite, collosus etc etc

Does anyone think there costumes are, well, a little too modern? Well at least, to simple and not funny retro looking?

Well thats the point. He waisted all the cool uniforms on the first team which got b****slapped...so when the next team came around all he had was the gay yellow spandex for poor old Wolverine

Come on its obvious uber mutant is the team murged together. When his body was hit by the mutant wave he got all his team mates too. You knew this from issue one!

I haven't read three yet, but if whoever said it is right and it is about Xavier erasing Cyke's memory than I have somewhere between three and four words for you.

I mean seriously. When is Marvel gonna realize that most of their stories are OLD. Instead, they should do what Geoff Johns does and take nice, friendly, do-gooder benevolent characters from the 1980s and make them vindictive, evil, and hellbent on revenge. That is, if he hadn't done it first. (And by first, I mean recently first.)

So let me get this straight DC took something OLD ie characters from 20 years ago and rehashed a stroy were they merged all their earth's and killed off characters. IC, COIE mmm one in the same re-hashed . IC just fells the same as the first Crisis which I've only read about. 6 of 1 comes to mind here.

Darwin-His genetic structure is constantly evolving,e.g if he goes under water,he would develop gills or if he enters fire,he would become fireproof.(very cool)

Sway-Temporal Manipulation-We have seen her slow down/stop time around herself.She can also see images of the past(not psychic) e.g she can go out on an empty street at 4am and see in real time images of all what happened previously.She used this ability to find her parents killers shortly after their death.

Petra-Powerful Terrakinetic-We have seen her manipulate earth and stone such as forming gigantic hands out of the earth.

Exactly. The only reason she is getting more coverage is that she has to fulfull Jean's role while she's gone.



Hardly a validating statement. That was really weak. 3 jocks does not mean anything. Not too mention that you just pointed out the obvious reason for why they bought it and the fact that they probably haven't read X-men for.... I duno... a few years.

Though Emma is popular to an extent it is largely based on the fact that A: she looks like prostitute and B: she is a hate figure for many fans. Neither of which could take her near Wolverine's level. You've still Cyclops, Colussus, Kitty Pryde and a whole ton of more recognisable and classic mutants before you get to her.

i just used that to show the wider audience,and i'm doing it again when i say the first team my little bro and his friends were exposed to was tha astonishing team.To him,they are the original team.(don't kill me, i'm just saying).That's also because astonishing is the most available X-title where i live.

Here's hoping they somehow get resurrected as well, cause it could be very interesting, and nice to see a new, fresh villain team around again.

Damn...they sound awesome...Thanks for the info! It's hard to imagine how they died being how Krakoa is a living Island and Petra can manipulate that with Darwin being able to adapt to any environment and Sway being able to slow down time if any imminent danger arose, also being able to see into the past and see exactly how the original team was captured so they would know what to avoid and what NOT to do......whats the other guy's powers?

Very true, but they WERE still kids just discovering their powers, not warriors.

The oteher is possibly the 3rd Summers brother so it is fair to assume his powers are energy based,although,in issue 3 he seemed to take control/tap into Rachel's power so he may be psychic.

Update:His name is Vulcan and he is the3rd summers brother.He may also have received a slew of mutant powers from the mutant energy cloud Wanda sent into space.
