I'm not sure of the exact contents in each issue, but according to this source it will be:

- Issue 1: Detective Comics # 579, 582-594, 596.

- Issue 2: Detective Comics # 597, 601-614.

- Issue 3: Detective Comics # 615-621, 627, Batman # 448-449, 455-459 (only covers for Batman # 450-451).

- Issue 4: Batman # 460-466, 470-474, Detective Comics # 639-641. Legends of the Dark Knight # 27.

- Issue 5: Batman # 475-476, 556, Detective Comics # 642, Shadow of the Bat # 1-5, 50, 65-67.

I still hope DC reprints all of this stuff some day...

I gave up all hope of DC reprinting these. I'm even considering buying the spanish editions and just cut and paste in english balloons! Hahah.
I wrote to Titan books (an english puplischer who prints Batman in the UK) if they would be willing to follow DeAgostini's idea in english...

I have all the issues (twice even triple if you count the dutch editions). I'm eager to binding them...

^ Lol whut?

The Anarky issues from Tec 601(?) were the first Batamn stories i've read. I also have found memories of Cornelius Stirk, the heart eating cannibal. These stories were fresh and really brought something new into Batman. Imo it's been unsurpassed.

And they created Scarface

Hope we get a reprint in english one day :csad:

Well Grant and Breyfogle are doing the Batman Retroactive issue...so I guess there is always that to look forward to.

how i this not happening in english?! arent english speaking people supposed to get the best of everything first?

Yeah I think we get the point.

And dammit! I was excited at first...and they're in spanish. Is it even an official DC release? You'd think there would be an english version first...

Eh DC is shaping up their classic collections with Omnibuses and so forth, it's only a matter of time for this to come in english no fears. Perhaps the spanish one is a "leak" for whats to come with July solicitiations?

We can only hope. I'd buy a hardcover copy of the run in a heartbeat, it's long overdue.

They are

Steve Ditko Omnibuses, Jack Kirby Omnibuses, Aquaman collections, Batman 80s trade coming up and Teen Titans omnibuses and so on so on. I do believe they are shaping up more nostalgic material.

Hmm I might hold off the idea of binding my comics...

They're reprinting Milligan's issues? Reprint them in English now! :argh:

I'd give them a look. Anything with Tim as Robin is worth my time. :)

I don't understand why DC isn't reprinting this.

I don't know where Breyfogle in particular even stands with the current DC brass. International rights issues are different so I don't know how realistic this is to be put out in english. I'm not a collections guy; I own hundreds upon hundreds of floppies instead. I never in any period of regularly buying comics ever had the patience to wait for the trade.

However if they made an omnibus of their entire run from 'tec to Batman and Shadow I would buy that thing 4 times over. Even though I still have the majority of their 'tec work and a lot of their Batman stuff in long boxes to this very day.

Their run with the character was just the greatest ever. The most balanced characterization of Bruce Wayne/Batman outside of the 1970's. It's the perfect thing to show to people who feel that late 80's & early 90's comics were just grimdark nonsense in retrospect cause it's almost the antithesis to all that. To me it's the closest the comics ever got to the TAS spirit so it's a great entry point for fans of other Batman media.

You'll be glad to know then that those guys were the ones who really ever defined Tim. Made him an interesting enough character to follow into Chuck Dixon's Robin work. Everything from actually becoming Robin to having his mother killed & dad crippled by the Obeah Man was by these dudes.
