Saw the trailer tonight with IJ4 and it looks damn good.

I agree with the people that said this could be Fincher's film that gets him a nomination.

I don't think anyone will agree with me on this but I got kind of a Forrest Gump vibe(as in what sort of film it is in relation to the characters)except a darker moodier version.

Bad News Hunter:
Want to see the movie trailer for David Fincher’s The Curious Case of Benjamin Button? I’ve heard it’s playing in front of most prints of Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. And word has it that the trailer won’t show up online in official form until the end of next week. So if you haven’t seen Indiana Jones 4, you might now have a reason. From what I understand the majority of the trailer has no dialogue and is almost completely cut to music (I’m being told that it uses “Aquarium” section of “The Carnival of the Animals” by the composer Saint-Saëns). Alex Billington of FirstShowing saw the trailer and is already calling the movie “next year’s Best Picture.”

Edit
Trailer in Spanish quality is good

Not sure its dubbed or what as I have no sound, but the quality looks good. Pitt doesn't have much dialouge, he says something like "I was born under unusual circumstances" and its a voiceover so...I would watch

No. It isn't dubbed. Pitt's one line is Spanish.

I think I spotted Tilda Swinton in there for one frame.

This has reverted to the youtube version but i watched......damn, the scope of it looks epic, i never expected to see so many periods and such scale, the production values look incredible and the eerie music and feel reminded me a touch of Burton.

I loved the look of the film....Fincher nailed that. I love the use of the music, it did have a Burton feel(sounds like something similar out of Edward Scissorhands).

Creepiest moment of the trailer for me was when Benjamin, looking very old, takes a step in front of a few people. Man, creepy..

It's been a long time coming but it's been worth the wait. Like others have said this looks pretty creepy in a good way. Now i can understand a little more why this cost such an great of time and money to produce.

Perhaps Benjamin Button can finally get Fincher some recognition at the Academy Awards? It's amazing how he's never even been nominated by them for any of his films.

I was expecting a nomination for Zodiac. God, what a brilliantly made film.

Zodiac was ****ing fantastic. Fincher needs to do a movie with Christian Bale.

Exactly, I think it deserved multiple oscars, like best Director and Cinematography, but it didn't even get a single ****ing nomination. :cmad:
