Finding a job sucks

You could always try your local newspaper

I gave up years ago... so many interviews, so many rejections. What's the point. I give up.

I checked monster and it's all manager ****.

Start your own business.

See? Problem solved now that you've created employment for yourself.

Dude, Orko, whatever happened to your old job?

What job are you looking for?

Just an entry-level part time thing so I can have some extra spending money. I drove almost a 1/2 hour away for $7/hour for my last job.

work at a video store or something.Work at McDonald's or bust tables at a resturant

Become a gigolo and you won't mind the commute, no matter how long it is.

join the army, best job in the world, awesome enlistment bonuses.

Its not that hard to find a job. I found a great job the very first day I went out looking for jobs.

The problem you're having is that you are looking for the "perfect" job right off the bat. You want great hours, great pay, and great benefits when you having earned the reputation for it yet.

That, or either you're lazy.

I just got hired at McDonalds :x It's my first job though, so I guess I can't be choosey. Tried like 10 other places, but no one wants college kids. They want high schoolers who aren't gonna leave in a few monthes.

Actually, I just want some that's close to my house, pays above minimum wage and won't require me to do over night shifts. That's all.

I'd rather stay alive for several more years.

hey, im in the army, and im still alive.

but then again, I am The Incredible Fred Fury...

The worst job I had was in a pet shop of all things. Hamsters suck. Well, except for the Siberian kind like in my avvy. I didn't get paid **** and the people I worked with lied to the customers to get sales and yelled at me because I wouldn't. I was so happy to leave there.....:( Don't apply at a pet shop. It sucks. :down

If you're still living at home or being supported by the parents, I wouldn't gripe too much about finding a great job right now. Unless you're 30, then I would gripe.

I hope you have some luck. But here's a piece of advice.
Minimum wage is more than you are making right now.
I understand the "less than 1/2 hour commute and no overnights" requirements, but the minimum wage thing? Come on.
With 25 hours a week, you'll bring in $125 a week in fun money. At $6.50 it's $160.
Obviously, $160 is a little better than $125, but $125 is a LOT better than $Zero$.

Here's another piece of advice. Try and find something that requires a bit of training that so you can make more than minimum wage. I'm not suggesting a two-year program or anything, but maybe there is something that you could take over the course of the summer to increase your skills so you can apply for something better than pizza funds and still allow you to go to school.

It might cost you a summer's income to do this, but you'd more than make up for the difference in subsequent years.
