Should Firefly appear in a sequel?

If Nolan decide to put him on screen would be like the guy at the beginning of Lethal Weapon 3 (or 4 I don't remember right now) but no more than that.

Yeah it be like in Lehtal Weapon 4 were Batman takes him down easily.

Na i'd have him be a lackey of teh major villain, he'd take out the mobs businesses as the main villain tries to take out the mob and take over.

No as main villain but could work as minor.

Could Firefly work as a main villain though? I mean are we being narrow-minded to the possibilities of his story by making him a minor villain?

He seems the type of a minor villian.

I like him as a character, but he's never been a major threat on the level of the big guys. I say have him as an arsonist working for the mob trying to put another group of mobsters out of business by torching their properties. He doesn't even need a costume or anything, he's just a guy who's really good at making the fires look accidental so there's no clue of an arsonist.

Maybe burning and killing some children like in an old comic book, when Batman almost cryes after saw this little kids.

In my story Penguin and Black Mask are in a gang war.Firefly is Penguin's body guard and Croc is Black Mask's.Firefly is the one,who earlier burned Black Mask's face.

I could see him as a minor villian in a Batman movie, but not much more. Maybe have him caught in the opening credits or somewhere in the middle of the movie just as a news report.

would be cool if he's one of villains, who is just bringing some confusion to the people of Gotham about the Batman, like why he's not killing if he's a murderer and have people split on whether he's a killer or not.

He has never really been an A villain in the comics, so I think he would only work in a secondary role in the films. He would probably not be able to fly, but could be a part of some Arkham breakout plot.

Not as a main villain but yeah maybe a minor or at the least a small cameo. Maybe have a shot of some Arkham inmates lined up and one of them has a name tag of "Lynns" which is Firefly's last name.

First off after the Joker's actions in TDK, it's safe to assume the mob is broken and gone.

Second thing, do you really want to see more of the mob in a possible third film from Nolan?

Personally, I say bring on the freaks in full force.

You could have Firefly work for a freak mobster like Penguin or Black Mask. The point is Firefly is really the kind of villain who works for others.

There has always been a real mob in Gotham, despite the freaks. So one doesnt exclude the other.
However Nolan decided to off them all in TDK.... That wasnt very wise...

As others have said, I think he would work fine as like a random villain Batman fights early on, and maybe comes back later in the movie as an obstacle, but that's about it.

Nothing against the character, but I don't see him as anything more than a minor villain.

Would be a good scene for the trailer though.

The only thing that gets me about Firefly is the name. I just picture a bad costume and a high-pitch naisly voice.

I love Firefly. I think he could be a good intro villain or maybe a villain spread throughout the film with screen time comparable to Zsasz or Reese.
