I find it really funny how everyone keeps reminding people that Tatum was in Step Up as though that's all he's ever done. That's like complaining that Heath Ledger was in '10 Things I Hate About You'. Of course, I'm not expecting Tatum to give a performance on par with Ledger's Joker but the point I'm trying to get across is that just because a certain actor has appeared in a certain type of movie before and done a certain type of character doesn't mean s/he is incapable of doing anything else. In fact, Tatum was recently in the movie Stop Loss where he also portrayed a soldier.
no no no no no
hahahahahahahahahahahaha
u got it wrong buddy
its not just Tatum per se
its the CASTING of Tatum that stinks here
Ledger's casting was more like -let's get this academy award winning actor to play an icon
it can also be compared to Travolta's casting as Vincent Vega in Pulp Fiction which went more like this-
Tarantino: Hey, let's get an icon from the 70's & transform him into a bad-a5s, smart-a5s syndicate character
no no no Tatum's casting, these were done by lousy...SCHEMERS
it reeks of shallow-mindedness
the casting of Tatum smells like this:
Hey, let's get that heartthrob that teens love... that sure is gonna draw the kids in to this flick, wont it! Sure, we would turn Duke into a Justin TImberlake clone--but hey, what can those Geeks do? Complain? hahahahahahaha!!!!!
