I like FPS games, so does anyone have any good reccomendations, that aren't Halo, COD, Battlefield, or Bioshock?

It would help if you mentioned what systems you own and what type of game you are looking for

RAGE is pretty much the best FPS I've played lately.

The first F.E.A.R. game is a personal favorite of mine.

heres some i quite enjoyed..

doom 3
wolfenstein
singularity
resistance 3
killzone 3

No need to be rude or a wise ass. I and everyone in this thread is trying to help you out. The only bit of info in the thread title is that you are looking for a FPS but as you must be aware of that there are MANY different types of those. Are you looking for a realistic setting like a MW? Or something like Resistance which features aliens invading realistic settings? Something in space like Killzone? A FPS thats heavily story based like Half-Life? An open-world shooter with more freedom like Far-Cry? More into squad base shooter like Team Fortress? Arena based shooter like Unreal Tournament? Role playing shooter like Borderlands? More into horror like Fear and the Darkness? And again as I mentioned in my post, what systems you have would play a role in what games you'd be reccommended. Next time you may want to be a bit more specific and more receptive to help when coming on here and asking for it :whatever:

It matters what systems you own, as some games are exclusive or old. It matters if you like RPG elements because Fallout is a fantastic FPS but plays nothing like COD or Halo.

Don't be an ass.

Anyway:
Borderlands
Half-Life
RAGE
Fallout 3
Killzone 2-3
Resistance 3

The Metroid trilogy on Wii, the first one being the best (in my opinion), which you can also find for the Gamecube.

Probably my favourite game ever (at worst it'd be my second favourite) : Perfect Dark on Nintendo 64. Now I don't know if you can get past the graphics cause of course they probably look very sh..ty to someone who hasn't played older games before, and I don't know your age. But it's an amazing game with perhaps the best multiplayer ever made on any system save for PC games.

You could probably buy a N64 with the game for $10 nowadays...

Killzone 2 is my all time favourite FPS. You should check it out.

Left 4 Dead 1 & 2
Dead Island (Although it's more melee)
These are the only FPS games I enjoy.

Tribes Ascend looks fun. It's free2play as well so if you don't like it you wont loose anything. Same with Team Fortress 2. Both these games wont cost you anything other than your time.

I had a blast with Killzone 3.
Both in Single Player and Multi Player.

Like others have said, it all depends on what exactly you’re looking for in a shooter.

Battlefield 3 – Great visuals, solid multiplayer. A slower, slightly more realistic campaign than other military shooters.
Rage – Fantastic visuals. Great shooter. Has a few RPG elements.
Fall Out 3 and Fall Out: New Vegas – OK visuals. Relies more on its RPG foundation than being an actual FPS.
Dead Island – good visuals. Zombie horror and RPG, little use of guns, but it’s fun.
Killzone 3 – Great visuals. Has more of a COD feel than previous installments. Futuristic weaponry on an distant planet.
Resistance 3 – Good visuals. Futuristic/alien weaponry on an alternate history Earth. Has some horror elements.
Portal 1 and 2 – Good visuals. No guns, just a great puzzle game.
Mirrors Edge – Little reliance on guns. Mostly a FP platforming game. It’s actually pretty fun.
