Edit: I've read your scene, Toril. It's interesting. What I love about it is that takes place in the city, and at night, something that I like so much. It remind me one of the Mary Jane momments in the Spiderman films... I like it. What I find a bit weird is Rogue being alone in a bar, and at night, hehe.

I don't know why I never noticed this question, lol. After Rogue took the cure, Bobby broke up with her, and she stormed out of the mansion. She realizes that she didn't take the cure for herself: she took it for Bobby. That's why she's so ashamed at the beginning of that scene; that's why she's sulking, alone, at a bar; and that's why she still won't let anybody touch her (she's too ashamed).

I never really meant for it to be like the Mary Jane scene, but it does remind me of that. Something I really like about this scene is that, unlike Mary Jane, Rogue saved herself. That guy picked the wrong gal to try and rape

Here's the abridged version sPanning 3 scenes...


Rogue: You're Jimmy Leech right?

Jimmy: Yeah. Hi.

Rogue: My name's Marie. I just wanted to thank you personally for providing me with the cure. *hugs him* I really dunno how I would have gone on with my life if you hadn't come along.



*a few scenes later, Logan and Storm fly off to investigate something else in the plot and we find Rogue entering Bobby's room*

Rogue: Pete gone?

Bobby: He said he'd sleep on the couch downstairs tonight so we could have the room all to ourselves.

Rogue: Aw, bless his metal, Russian heart.


*heavy making out begins on Bobby's bed and we all know what that leads to! Cut to a scene with Storm and Wolverine...yadda yadda action sequence...yadda yadda Wolverine gets knocked out cold. We get a trippy dream sequence in a winter wonderland where Kitty says "I love you too. I always have." It turns out she's saying this to Bobby who begins to kiss her. Suddenly Bobby begins to shrivel and wither and at this point, Rogue wakes up for it was HER dream all along*

Rogue: *gasP* Oh my...Bobby...I had the strangest dr--

*Rogue looks over to find Bobby as he was in her dream, near death and the room is freezing cold with snow and Ice on evereything. Rogue screams and Kurt bamfs inside.*

Kurt: Rogue! Vhat happened!?

*Cut to a picture/phone call thingy with Hank McCoy*

Hank: Is Bobby alright?

Kurt: I took him to the HosPital. Emma's vith him now. He's in a coma and the doctors aren't sure vhat vill happen to him.

*Rogue, meanwhile is crying under a frosty blanket and breathing vapor*

Hank: Rogue, I know this is a complete shock to but I need to ask you a few questions. Alright? Listen to me. Were there any signs before tonight that you might be getting your abilities back? Any sudden illness or strange sensations.

Hank: *sighs as if not wanting to ask this question* Were you around Jimmy Leech today?

Hank: Huh?

Hank: Jimmy Leech, were you--

Rogue: Yeah, but...why?

Hank:...did you make physical comtact with him? Skin on skin?

Rogue: Why are you asking me that?

Hank: Rogue...I've been theorizing lately that...well, it wouldn't be entirely impossible for Jimmy to "switch off" the cure antibodies in a treated mutant.

Rogue: Are you saying that Jimmy reactivated my powers without knowing it?

Hank: The boy's very presence can disable virtually any mutation. It's not a stretch of the imagination to suggest his powers can cancel out a synthesized form of themselves in the body of another mutant.

Kurt: So you are saying that Jimmy is the cure to...the cure?

Hank: If that didn't sound so "rough-first-draft" corny, that would be EXACTLY what I'm saying!

4 entries. Not too bad, considering this forum isn't as active as the X3 forum, and this is the first time we've had the competition here. We're looking forward to Angamb's entry, which will be 5. That's a respectable number.

I'm afraid I won't enter, both here and in the X3 board, and in a spanish board there is another comp, but I have less time since two weeks and in some form, I've lost a bit interest in writing and manips... mostly because my head is in other things right now...
