They would not stay seated, and some were using their mobile devices after being asked not to. When the students failed to comply with requests from the flight crew, including the captain, they were asked to leave the plane

Reading the actual story, I don't think this is nearly as clear cut as some of you think it is.

There was a claim it was anti-semitic by one of the teenagers involved but I kind of expected that to come up with 100 people of the same ethnicity involved. Whether it is true or not, that claim always comes up. I'm not saying it's right or wrong.

For all I know the flight crew were anti-semitic, but more likely what I believe is they didn't want to deal with several unruly teenagers who can't follow simple, basic directions.

And it was admitted as much by everyone involved a small portion of the group was disrupting the flight crew and potentially becoming a danger to safe operation, even as that's downplayed. Tragically it is the same old story, a small group of people damages the reputation of the broader group by acting like total asses.

Sarcasm and bad jokes aside, I'm not sure who I believe in this instance. I think I am leaning more towards the airline though. Probably because I've worked in retail and food service and I know how idiotic ****ing kids are.

Especially when kids are in a pack of 100. It get's exponentially worse when they are in large groups. If one acts up the group does and they feel like its funny to be bad because they see everyone else doing it and feed off each other.

I was in a theater last year and this group of high school kids came in, wouldn't shut the f**k up with their laughing and talking during the first fifteen minutes of the movie, got me pissed off, so I got security, pointed the group out, they ALL got kicked out with no refund and I got free passes for having my 'movie experience' ruined, LOL...

so kicking the disruptive s**ts out works for ME...

It's wrong. The pilots and flight-crew didn't have a secret meeting and decide to "get the Jews off ze plane" on a domestic carrier in the USA. These kids smack of entitlement and arrogance.

Maybe it's you? Most flight attendants I've had on my flights are great, really nice, really helpful.
