I have the same issue as david starsky only i need it in a video format.

Depends if you have the flv on your hard drive or you are streaming it from youtube or googlevideo

And thats a online converter, just wack your youtube link into it and it will give you a link to download the file onto your pc, not sure if it works on many other sites

i've tried that- apparantly it converts divx but i put a file in to convert and nothing happens

this flv to video converter can do that, and if you want to do that online you can use flv converter sdk.
