Foods or dishes from your "culture" (if any) you can't stand

I can't think of anything from my "culture" that I find particularly repulsive. Then again, I don't know what exactly is meant by "my culture." I don't know my ethnicity; all I know is that I'm Caucasian. I'm American, but I can't think of any American cuisine that I'm adverse to.

There are only a couple of foods that I dislike among all I've tried so far. One of those is urchin (the roe). I don't enjoy raw squid, but I still eat it every time it's brought out.

You're from the white culture, so I guess that would be....cheese sandwiches? :awesome:

There's nothing In ashkenazic Jewish Cuisine I do't like.
Kugel, Cholent, Kishke, Pickled herring. I like it all.

I love a good grilled cheese sandwich.

If I include my American culture, I'll say that I dislike the majority of hamburgers.

Oh and as a white guy, I hate mayo. It's the worst possible substance ever.

Oh, as an American, I can't stand Ketchup. Unless it's mixed with Mayo.

Forsaking the lifeblood of food (ketchup) for the white devil (mayo), and then stating that you dare mix the two.

A chef I used to work with used to mix the two and use it as a Marie Rose sauce for prawn cocktails... I thought that was how you made it, but I could be being dense... i'm not the best in the kitchen :p

What foods typically English? Hmmmm

Full English Breakfast is great, Traditional Sunday Roasts are amazing, Fish and chips from a proper English chippy... well it makes fries seem as appealing as carrot sticks... Love bangers and mash, cottage pie, bubble and squeak, toad in the hole, lancashire hot pot etc etc

I guess I'm not the biggest fan of the cornish pasty...

Speaking of weird sauces, I'm a member of 1 Million People Who Hate Miracle Whip.

I hate CHITTERLINGS!!!

Pronounced "chitlins"

Ditto that. They taste like crap, smell like crap, and they're literally filled with crap before they're cleaned out. My grandfather and mom eat them for the holidays, so it's always... there around New Year's Day.

Hmmm...white people in the U.S. are supposed to like hummus, right? I hate that stuff. And carrots and bologna and white bread. And peanut butter and jelly.

I also hate mustard...that yellow American kind is so gross. Ruins hamburgers and hotdogs!

carrots are disgusting. Raw carrots are acceptable when drowned in unhealthy substances such as ranch dressing.

But hummus is delish... get your taste buds reconfigured, woman.

Baby eater...:o

Anyhoo, I'm American, so I choose McDonalds. Just nuke that place already. Nevermind I just had a fantastic Angus Bacon/Cheese sandwhich earlier from there, just nuke that place.:o

Baby, the other white meat. :)

Well, you have to get the good stuff. I've found the majority of store bought, brand name hummus to be pretty awful. with the exception of Sabra. Generally, when I eat hummus, I go for home made, or buy it from the mom and pop mediterranean grocery store down the street. Or buy the previously mentioned Sabra.

not sure if this really counts, but living in TN my whole life, my family loves stuff from the garden, like love it as much as they love me. I can't stand really anything out of a garden other than potatos and corn. My family would eat white beans and fried squash everyday if they could.

When I was married, my wifes family was polish and I would rather touch any of that food, I wish I could even come close to spelling it, but they made this one dish that was hamburger meat, wrapped with cabbage, and they'd bake it and then eat it with mashed potato's. gross.
