Spurs Arsenal on. Won’t be straightforward but after dropping points already Arsenal really need all 3 away today.

What a boring game. I feel I have to rethink Spurs as top4 contenders and Arsenal as PL contenders after that.

It's a shame that this hearing isn't getting the Depp/Heard treatment or at least allowing the world's footballing media access so we can find out exactly what's being argued.

I'm just going to wait for the movie about these charges; written by Aaron Sorkin and titled "115"

Newcastle make a fight back to lead 2-1 mow.
I got busy and totally forgot about this. Just watched the highlights. 2 great strikes from Schar and Barnes!

A surprisingly good start for us in the league with 10 points after 4 games and up to 3rd.

First day of the new CL format. Liverpool losing to Milan while Villa beat Young Boys 3-0. Nice first tie for them!

Konate equalises for Liverpool while Kane scores a pen to put Bayern up against Dinamo Zagreb.

Juventus also beat PSV 3-1 earlier.

Van Dijk makes it 2-1.

Bayern now 3-0 up.

Real Madrid still awaiting a breakthrough against Stuttgart at home.

Liverpool win 3-0 in the end after Szoboslai gets another.

Real win 3-1 over Stuttgart with Mbappe, Rudiger and Endrick finding the net.

Bayern score 9 against Dinaml Zagreb!! Kane gets 4 but 3 were pens.

Was only Barnsley but a nice 7-0 win in the league cup for United last night, if nothing else hopefully it boosts confidence and gets some players scoring again more regularly. Even Antony managed a goal (all be it a pen). :hehe:

Yesterday, Bayern beat Dinamo Zagreb 9-2 in the Champions League. There shouldn't be such one-sided contests in the Champions League. Champions League should be all about the best teams in the continent.

Can't remember when my last post in here was 😊

Firstly R.I.P to Toto Schillachi, one of the breakout stars of probably my favourite World Cup of all time, Italia '90!

Very mixed start to the season for United, hopefully the goal glut against Barnsley on top of 3 against Southampton will see the forwards grow into some form. The midfield balance still isn't right, but I don't see that improving until we move away from Bruno as an ever-present, and start to build towards Kobbie's strengths.

It's been a fairly mixed start for most teams, apart from City, from the matches I've seen I'd say Arsenal and Villa look the best of the rest so far, but it's early days. At the bottom end Everton look woeful, I'd say Dyche is likely the first managerial casually of the season.

I actually thought this was a really good result for Arsenal, unlike @Zantera I think this shows how they can be genuine contenders, they don't have the amount of quality and nowhere near the depth City have, so being able to grind out 3 points away in a derby game shows the kind of characteristics they'll need.

Hi guys,

Haven't been on this thread in a while. Now the international window is here (urgh), let's hear your thoughts on your team's transfer window & your start to the season.

I thought the ins and outs at United were overall a successful transfer window. De Ligt has added quality, leadership and experience to the back 4, Yoro has a sky high ceiling and I think Ugarte is a strong DM to add much needed legs to our midfield, and Zirkzee has an interesting skill-set that offers a different type of striker option to Hojlund.

The standout so far though has been Mazraoui, the cheapest of the 5 signings, if we can manage his injury issues he adds real composure and class on both sides of the ball.

Yeah, I think you've started well, especially given you didn't really sign anyone. I think the development of the 2 young fullbacks, the continuing progression of Isak, the return of Tonali and Barnes going up a notch have been key.

The group stages are sort of pointless nowadays and this new format pretty much means all the big sides in it cant really fail to qualify for the next round, its a half way house to a European Super League in all but name. Add to that some teams qualify from 4th/5th in a league is kind of watering down the competition at the start anyway.

The money gap is more evident in the CL than even in some of the leagues now.
