I really think that X3 should've been the last movie in the series, but it was poorly done and there are still problems that need to be resolved. So make one more movie and resolve all the problems, and let mutants finally be accepted. As for everyone with all these X4: Sentinels go crazy X5: Mister Sinister X6:Apocalypse kills all X7:The return of Sinister crap that's just how you ruin a great franchise. I would've much rather there been only 3 x men films, but X3 didnt resolve anything and Ratner left so many problems unsolved and everything, so just fix everything in X4 and leave it at that. Who agrees with me?

well

i agree with you in some parts

first and foremost i liked X3, and i am assuming from the tone of your script that you did not

what i agree with you is, the very well should end on X3, i think they work as a trilogy well, and they don't have to go on, because so much has been completed

i disagree with the X4 idea, i think if they are going to continue with the franchise it should be a second trilogy and not to just drag the franchise along one movie at a time, or at least with out a plan for a future movie after every movie

i hve no problem with them continuing for 3 more movies or more, and i very well think they should becaue xmen is the most open ended work in media history their are countless of thousands of stories they can do

another reason they should is because since this trilogy ended, they probobly wont continue on with the stories of wolverine storm cyclops etc. and will hopefully move onto the likes of gambit, iceman, kitty pryde, and what not

there is too much for there just to be 3 movies, if they have to cut budget because there money man wolverine won't be in it that is kind of okay with me, it was apparent most of that 200 million was spent on the pheonix anyways, so if they cut it down to like 130 i think it would be just fine

to much to quite i think

but i don't want them just to run the franchise dry of characters the likes of Henry Gyrich, and Senator Kelly

Since Hugh Jackman is signed on to do his own Wolvie-Movie, he is not really a necessity going forward...however...i know many people love Wolverine and I think that many people would not enjoy the movie without him...we could always expand from the mainstream X-Men personas and branch out with Alpha Flight, though you could not tell that story without Wolverine, or bring back Nightcrawler and go across the sea and do an Excalibur flick...But X3 CANNOT be the last movie...you don't end the story the way they ended it...

I agree, way to much unanswered. There should be an X4 (although there are many who think that's pushing it). Do it right and have that be the end. Anything more would ruin it. As for mutants being accepted, I believe the best way to achieve that is by having them save humanity from a major threat, preferably Apocalypse, although there are several other options (some of them would probably be too much of a stretch, though).

I would be fine with more X-movies, but enough of making them focus on Wolvie- his arc, like most of the older X-Men, is complete. Iceman has gotten better and better development each film, but not a full arc yet, and neither has Pyro (his has been started but needs to be finished). Kitty could have cool development and has unique enough powers where some cool symbolic stuff could be set-up, maybe something where she won't let anyone close to her and its reflected with her powers (the actual Bobby/Rogue/Kitty love triangle, maybe?). Colossus, thematically, is pretty much the equivalent of Logan, being invulnerable to others even if you don't want to be- he has tons of potential.

As for the original post saying no sentinels, sinister, apocalypse, and so on, I agree to some extent. I think it would be cool to see realistic sentinels (not the giant one like the danger room), and I would absolutely love to see Pyro be in control of his own super-violent Brotherhood- it would be cool to see mutants being very violent just for the sake of hurting as many humans as possible, plus Pyro for that film could be set-up as a tragic victim whose a victim of society, and get killed off in the end.

I think as long as its done realistically and with a serious tone, X4, and the rest after that, could be a good film- they just can't go overboard on trying to translate a lot of comic material to the big screen, because a lot of it just won't translate.

Why didn't they just stop the comics after the first 3 or 4 arcs? If they'd had you around, imagine all the money they would have saved.

No. They can keep making movies on that universe all they want, as long as each of them is a quality movie and not just another CG orgy for 10 year olds.

Exactly. And as for the CG, I agree that there's no need to go crazy with it like they did in X3- maybe I can see it justified in X3 (I don't know how else you would be able to show Jean's limitless power), but there's no need to see it again in an X-film. ever.

Plus, without the older X-Men, there's younger, less greedy actors. Combine that with the lack of a CG need, and there's low budget need for a quality film that can make good money.
