X-Men: The Last Stand is #2 on the SHH poll (favorite "superhero" flick of the year) behind only Superman Returns and above Casino Royale and V For Vendetta.



My rankings:

Glad to see X-Men: The Last Stand getting a bit of the respect and recognition it deserves.

It dose not deserve respect of recognition, and you can tell the fanboys voting are idiots because SR is #1 and X3 is #2. The top two should be V and cr, as they're the only ones that were actually GOOD

Sure I love Superman Returns to death and still oddly like X3 despite it's flaws, but CR and V just got everything right.

And to add on to that...the new Premiere magazine came out this week (Spiderman 3 on the cover!), and in their year box-office wrapup, X3 is listed under the year's "blockbusters." t:

well, X3 was never denied to be a blockbuster, heck, it does have one of the highest budgets of all time. But what does it matter on the quality? The movie doesn't get better or worse because of that...actually, being considered a blockbuter is often a bad thing, and I include X3 in that. The status usually is linked to studio demands, no freedom of creativity, etc. And X3 is still only above Superman in profits, when Pirates made over 1 billion (right?), and both Da Vinci Code and Cars made better profits worldwide.

Some of the worst films of all time were blockbusters. I don't see a reason to be proud of X3 being considered one...

Perhaps calling anyone who voted for X3 and Supes an idiot is a little out of call, but he's still right in the fact and I'll believe you'll find by majority that more people like CR and V than they do X3.

Meh, I really don't care. Being rated number 1 on the SHH! poll is nothing to be proud of or to be happy about, simply because it's nothing major and it's really just a poll where fanboys/fangirls vote for their favorite films.

I don't agree with X3 being ranked that high, but it's their opinion. Personally I feel V For Vendetta, Casino Royale, POTC 2, and Superman Returns should be ranked over X3.

But whatever.

I feel what a lot of X3 supporters don't understand is that X3 only made money because the budget was a lot higher. With the budget higher and advertising the hell out of it, plus being the third film of the trilogy, it was going to make money in order to make its budget back.

My opinion? Had it been the first film of the trilogy it wouldn't have done that well had Ratner did it still.

And guess what? X3 didn't make as huge of a profit as X2 did. Most non-fans don't care about the source material, so they'll see X-Men even if they showed Colossus in a pink tutu or Wolverine dressed up as Michael Jackson.

I think the poll is very justifiable....CR and V at times had great moments but some parts put you to sleep...especially in CR...great opening...but just dragged on from middle to the end of the movie....

He's still no superhero to me. When I think superhero the last fictional character to come to mind would be James Bond.

I don't like when characters like James Bond, Buffy Summers, Angel, hell, sometimes even Blade and Punisher get labeled as superheroes. Sure the have special powers (all of the ones listed besides Punisher and Bond that is), sure they save the world, or stand up for justice, but they just aren't superheroes to me.

And VfV should be on the first place. It's the only one that's nearly flawless. CR has the lenght. SR has the kid. X3 has everything... The others I haven't seen. Except for Ultraviolet which was utter crap. Though I believe there is a cut that is better than the studio rape we got.

I voted X3. V is a super close second, though. I saw V twice in theaters. But I saw X3 three times. I loved SR, but I'm just not a big Supes fan.

CASINO ROYALE, SUPEMRAN RETURNS, and V FOR VENDETTA are leaps and bounds better than X-MEN: THE LAST STAND. It doesn't show quality, just favoritism.
