I was there and it was awesome. Legendary performance by Verstappen, the guy 100% deserves this WDC.Max Verstappen produced an excellent performance to win the Brazilian GP after starting P17. He is now 62 points ahead of Lando Norris in the WDC.
They deserved a break after 3 back-to-back race weekends. It's a shame we have to wait until the end of the month for more.
I missed this but sounds like a great performance. Did any of the lead drivers have any issues?Max Verstappen produced an excellent performance to win the Brazilian GP after starting P17. He is now 62 points ahead of Lando Norris in the WDC.
Nah. It was all weather and strategy.I missed this but sounds like a great performance. Did any of the lead drivers have any issues?
Thanks for the info.Nah. It was all weather and strategy.
Yeah, congrats to Max Verstappen. He joins Schumacher, Hamilton, Fangio, Prost and Sebastian Vettel in the 4-Timers Club.Congratulations to Max Verstappen for becoming a 4 time world champion. He finished P5 ahead of Lando Norris.
I guess they'll be near the back of the grid but it will be interesting to have a new team in there.Looks like the F1 grid will have 11 teams in 2026!
New Cadillac entry confirmed as 11th team in major F1 2026 shake-up
Formula 1 has confirmed the arrival of a new 11th team on the grid for 2026, with a Cadillac General Motors-backed entry entering the arena.www.planetf1.com
Yeah, that's the most likely scenario. Though Andretti has apparently been working on their 2026 F1 car for a while now, and it seems like Cadillac is a continuation of that project. They'll likely use Andretti's existing projects and infrastructure for 2026. So you never know.I guess they'll be near the back of the grid but it will be interesting to have a new team in there.
Thanks for the background story on that. I knew nothing about it. I hope this can add some excitement within the racing amongst teams not going for titles for fans.Yeah, that's the most likely scenario. This whole story was a huge **** show, to be honest. Andretti wanted to get into F1 with the support of Cadillac/GM as the engine manufacturer. F1 then blocked Andretti's entry, hinting they'd be okay with Cadillac/GM joining instead of Andretti. This led to Michael Andretti (then CEO of Andretti) going to the US Congress, accusing F1 of antitrust. Greg Maffei (CEO of F1) told Michael that he'd do "everything in his power" to see that Michael never enters F1.
Well, Michael Andretti stepped down from his role as CEO of Andretti Global; Greg Maffei is leaving F1 at the end of 2024, and now Cadillac is joining the grid. Seems like there was some personal beef going on there.
Anyways, we'll have two much-needed extra spots on the grid, starting in 2026. This is great news.
Yep, feels like it could be the most interesting season in a while. It was good to see the championship fight went to the last race weekend. Can't wait for the 2025 season to begin which is likely to be an even more competitive season.
With these rookies and a close competition expected among the top teams, 2025 would surely be an interesting season.Yep, feels like it could be the most interesting season in a while.
