Fox has been planning a reboot of FF since 2010.I hate to tell people but films can take a while to get off the ground.Trank was hired in 2012 and 3 years later film is coming out despite some claiming fox had no intention of making film.

we had rumors of a X-Men tv show last fall so that would have suggested earlier belief in fox couldn't make one was wrong.Still i will believe a tv show happens when i see it.Fox isn't giving away FF rights for marvel to approve one TV show.

Many franchises have been built with fresher faces.Hugh Jackman and Jennifer Lawrence anyone.

The bashing of FF is taking studio wars to extreme. And those who bash it continue to ignore basing it on ultimate FF is just as valid as marvel films having tons of influence from the ultimates and Amazing Spider-man based on ultimate Spider-man.

Even if i have no intrest In films marvel makes i don't spend the time hoping they fail like some do with FF.

Just to clarify:

Neither Marvel nor Fox have achieved good minority representation. However, Marvel is trying generate the first successful minority superheroes to be the first to break Hollywood's standards, to set a new record, if I may.

And Fox should care about this because its franchise is the best-suited and because movie goers aren't all white men. Half of them are female and Hispanic:

I'm not trying to destroy Fox here. I'd pick their X-Men any day before Avengers but Fox needs to get their game on. Bring out a strong Rogue! Psylocke and X-23! A wiser & pacifist Storm, a more manipulative Emma Frost, and an Invisible Woman that defies her label to not be so invisible and weak; A heroic Magma, Northstar, Moonstar and the list goes on!

Fox has all the possibilities to make a positive difference AND be recognized for it. They just have to break the rules a little bit more.

Imo that's exactly where it's headed. Once X-Men gets to the 90's it's on. Best comic book team ever assembled on screen. Either as X-Men or students living at the mansion who can become members in sequels. Lots of diversity and cool powers to mix in with Apocalypse cast

Psylocke
Forge (Storm Love Interest Bonus)
Jubilee
Colossus (Russian)
Kitty
Moonstar
Dr Reyes
Rogue
Dazzler
Thunderbird
Northstar
Scarlet Witch
Polaris
M
Wolfsbane
Bishop

Are you really trying to play innocent when it comes to studio wars and choosing sides robbins? :funny:

The truth is that this has never been a popular opinion overall even with the most bias of fans on both sides because the X-Men world is so vast with characters unto itself and people are always saying "mutants wouldn't make sense with other heros". Which is funny cause the exploration of Mutants vs Heros is actually the one thing I find interesting here and has potential for moving a different type of X story forward. The X-Men already have scientists, fire guys and major villains.

Notice how the majority really does not care about the X-Men going reverting back?

If it's "studio wars" - and for someone who is constantly complaining about it you sure bring it up often enough - why didn't The Wolverine and DOFP get anywhere near this level fan backlash? Why are most fans looking forward to X Men: Apocalypse and Deadpool?

If FOX treated the FF like they have the X Men fans might actually be looking forward to FFINO.

As someone who is looking forward to seeing more about the new FF movie, I fully understand why fans are not looking forward to the movie. I just wish there were more that were willing to accept the situation, and judge the movie on it's own basis. Just because it isn't the movie they want doesn't mean it is a bad movie.

So what fights would you like to see in the Fox Marvel Cinematic Universe?

Dr. Doom vs The X-Men
Magneto vs The Fantastic Four
Silver Surfer vs Gladiator
Super Skrull vs Wolverine
Vulcan vs The Starjammers
Human Torch vs Iceman

So many possibilities

Phoenix vs Galactus (probably the only crossover battle I want to see)
Emma vs Jean
Emma vs Xavier
Stepford Cuckoos vs Quentin Quire
Magik vs Belasco
Magik vs Scarlet Witch
Psylocke vs Archangel
Psylocke vs Shadow King
Storm vs Shadow King
Rogue vs Anyone
Juggernaut vs Colossus
Deadpool vs Wolverine (done well)
Deadpool vs Taskmaster (allegedly Fox was making a movie on him)
Deadpool vs Domino
Deadpool vs Outlaw
Wolverine vs Omega Red
Wolverine (with adamtium) vs Sentinels
Wolverine vs X-23
X-23 vs Deathstrike
X-23 vs Mystique
Cyclops vs Mr Sinister
Cable vs Apocalypse
X-Force vs Selene
X-Force vs Stryfe
Surfer vs Galactus (done well)
Annihlius vs F4
Kang vs Doom
Johnny Storm and Thing vs Super Skrull

Phoenix vs Galactus
Kang vs Doom

Dark Phoenix I can see saving the day vs Galactus and then shooting up into space and The X-Men go chasing after in the next movie. I just want to wait until X-Men: FC Sequel #6 I want to really get to know Jean before any Phoenix business. But that would be a excellent fight.

I think Kang is MCU exclusive unfortunately. Definitely a Phase IV villain.

The X-men and the FF teaming up makes no sense. There would be no real need for that movie, and Fox would not sully how good their X-men franchise is doing right now by bringing in the FFINO.

Fant4stic are explorers and lets say they accidentally transport themselves including Doom in a world filled with mutants.... they easily have a story to tell and personally I want it to be an one time big time. And Fant4stic would benefit a lot from this crossover... while X-Men... it wont stop them in making more X-Men films.

But it still doesn't make sense story-wise. At the end of the day people still would be asking "why does this crossover exist?" and the only real answer is "because that's all the comic properties Fox has access to, and they're trying to emulate Marvel". Having them transport to another dimension just makes things even more confusing.

Exactly.

It would exist purely because it could and it would do It in its own original way that really doesn't have to copy marvel step by step, not that the F4 has the same sort things to offer as they are only a team of 4 characters and how many times do you expect to cross them over?

Kinberg once said what would make the fantastic 4 fantastic if they live in a world full of mutants with super powers and he does have a point in that respect

And It actually wouldn't be confusing, they can travel to other universes in the F4 and there is a reason they will do it, so why couldn't there be another reason?

We are already getting Negative Zone which is an alternate world or timeline or dimension..so. And this is much easier to do than X-Men being part of the larger and more crowded Marvel Cinematic Universe which some of the people here are suggesting.

But he also said "I have a lot of ideas on how to built those brands and do what everybody is thinking of these days: Be like Marvel."

No Avengers crossovers and this wouldn't even be up for discussion. Avengers and Justice League were gonna happen with or without crossovers at some point though. Not the case here at all though since there's no IP for F4 and X-Men.

Sure but X-Men and FF had cross overs in the comics even before the first Avengers film was released. With the right story and crew... it could be great. Also you should know by now that Fox are milking X-Men more than they did in the past....thats why we are getting Deadpool and Gambit.

Attack on Titan crosses over with Marvel characters too, but doesn't mean it should happen. Everything crosses over. The crossovers with X-Men and F4 compared to every other Marvel character are hardly relevant or else this wouldn't be for debate.

It's just doing it cause they can. But yeah we'll see, I hope it's more used as cameos or something. Not forcing X-Men to participate in something they don't need to.

I'd be more then cool with Johnny or Sue Storm in Deadpool or something like that where it's just fun. Since Deadpool is known for trolling everyone in the Marvel universe and he's more aware of everything.

The Crossover idea in general is being like marvel though, having a way for these 2 franchises interacting would be like marvel, and how many times they gonna cross the fantastic 4 over with x-men?

Marvel have a lot of different super heroes to play in their universe, but the X-men are pretty much it's own cinematic universe with dozens of super powered characters to play with even without the F4 who are just 4 characters

But they crossed over members into another existing IP. There's a difference. They are setting up established teams.

I completely agree. Which is why they don't need them at all.

It is a superhero movies, it is all about execution. All ideas can look stupid on the paper. Crossover idea can make sense with a good writer.
Beside, it isn't like MIB/ 22 jump street crossovers, they have enough source material with comics world for link F4 and the X men .

Then why not just end the world and have a good writer attached to Justice League VS Avengers VS X-Men? Or Taken Vs Transporter. Or Cinderella Vs Belle?

The excuse that if the writing's good still doesn't make sense for a forced project. If these studios joined forces they can have the end all and the common team which is The Avengers.

22 Jump Street is a comedy that makes fun of and is self aware of sequels. A 22 Jump crossover is gonna do the same. Make fun of crossovers. It's a dumb idea that would make fun of itself and make a statement on the industry, and in return be hilarious. It would be making fun of all the stuff we are talking about.

Yup.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, anyone holding their breathe for a crossover to begin with is going to be disappointed. We ain't seeing it. We can talk all we want about how it could be successful with the right execution (the same thing was probably said for Aliens vs Predator or Freddy vs Jason), but Fox knows better than to do this. I give them hell on a regular basis, but even I don't think they are desperate enough to purse this misguided idea.
