i'm just wondering...

does anybody have reliable information if FRANK MILLER was satisfied with this adaptation, or not? I just watched it tonight, and I LOVED it! (currently writing a review on this for our local paper)
but I was just wondering what HIS take was on this movie...

Frank supposedly loved it. Besides, he's an executive produser. if he didn't dig it, well... we would've heard about it a while ago.

In Canada our sci-fi channel, Space has a weekly show called Hypa Space and did an entire episode on 300. The visited Frank's house and showed off his collection of props and toys that he has collected over the years. He showed off the unique sword that he drew and the helmet as well. He seemed pretty happy to see his creations come to life.

Nice.

Also, I guess you could say his take on 300 is 300.:woot: It's basically the GN on film.

Frank Miller loves the film. He really had his way with this film just like Sin City.

Im so excited!

yeah, i was a bit hasty on making this thread, it is only later that i found out that Frank is indeed the Executive Producer and is overlooking the creation of this project

i guess it's ok to close this thread now

:)

I really don't know , i was searching for Miller's opinions too about his movie adaption but i couldn't find any.Still, I think he is gonna like it much.i just saw the movie hours ago and ,wow, it was totaly cool. I mean , there is no way it could be adabpted in any better way.It was like seeing the comic book again but really coming to life. I am absolutly sure Frank Miller is gonna love this movie despite the minor changes in it.:cwink:

LOL! Dude, read the post above what you just wrote...

He also was on the HBO show about 300.

So you may want to check that out.

I was at the press junket 4 weeks ago for it, and he was supposed to be there but broke his hip. So they posted a note with a quote from him about it. Here's his response:

"Sometimes life really sucks. I slipped on a patch of black ice on a Manhattan sidewalk, smashed my left hip to bits, and have spent the last several weeks undergoing medical procedures and missing out on all the fun. I can't wait to join the party that is 300. I've seen every inch of it. It's amazing. You've never seen anything like it."
As far as I've heard, he loved it.

(if you read firstshowing.net, i posted this earlier in a Frank Miller round up... :woot: :woot:)

I think now that movie making has reached a point where CGI allows comic book art to come to life, namely Frank's...you'll see more Miller stuff come to the screen.
Well, there are Sin City 2 and Ronin in different stages of pre-production.
What else? Wasn't Nicholas Cage interested in playing the lead in a "Hard Boiled" movie?
A Martha Washington movie? Difficult...

Well, Miller is doing "his" rendition of Will Eisner's The Spirit. He's directing it, so it's not his comic, but it is Miller's movie.

Check out the poster here - http://www.firstshowing.net/img/fm-spirit.jpg

everything i heard is that he loved it
and why wouldnt he it is basically his graphic novel on screen just like sin city

if my comic ever got the movie treatment and it that faithful of a rendition i would be just floored and estatic
