Apparently Kelsey Grammer is involved and has been quoted as such.

Always had a soft spot for Kelsey Grammer, even when he's been in total garbage, so I'll be looking at this with interest.

Loved the show but don't know about a sequel series right now after all this time

It's one of the reboots that might actually work. Frasier was always about this classic gentleman doing "old guy" stuff, so it's not so much of a deal for him to come back after all these years. As opposed to something like Will & Grace, where we're supposed to buy the fact that all these much older characters are still acting like the goofballs they were when they were younger.
