I have had a friend for ten years and it seems the friendship went bad.
I will explain.
I met him, he is a good 17 years older than I.
Well, he ended up moving in with me in college (10 years ago).
Then when I moved to Houston, got married and the like.
He stayed in Houston.
Meanwhile over the years, I did MANY favors for him. I payed his rent once after he lost a job. I bought him some furniture, and may more examples like that.
In March, I brought him to Houston to live with me while he found a job here. Well he had one job for a month then quit for "unsafe reasons" at his place of employment (restaurant). I thought that was strange, but let it go. He started working elsewhere.
Then he was unemployed for a good month, without making any attempt to find a job. My wife, myself and my wife's dad sat down with him and told him, he needed to get off his can and find a job. We gave him a timeframe.
Well, he found another job, and started withing there. (another restaurant).
Then about 2 months ago, I get a call from him (I was at work and he at my house). He told me a close personal friend of his was SHOT twice. He needed to go up there since he was the executor of the will. Well he was starting to pack when I asked him about his job here. He had only been there for a few weeks and hourly jobs generally dont take to kindly for you to disappear for a week on a days notice.
He said he would get it okayed with his boss. Suppossedly he did.
Once again I took his word for it. He left after I brought him to the station.
Ironaically I got the feeling he was not coming back.
A week later, when he was suppossed to be on a bus coming back, he called me up and said, he was staying there. This kinda angered me.
My wife and I got a SNAIL MAIL that was sent to my friend from Nebraska the DAY my friend left to go up there for his shot friend. Well, the message we read. It basically said, the friend that was "SHOT" was not even in Nebraska, but was out of state on a long business trip. How strange, since this message would have been sent around the same time my friend here left for Nebraska.
That did not sit well with me.
Needless to say, this came to a head when I got a phonecall Sunday afternoon.
Someone in Nebraska who knew my friend, and the so-called Shot friend and I hashed out a bunch of info. No the person was NOT shot. No it doesnt even look like they were close friends.
Needless to say, this conversation shows me I have been played for many years by my so called friend. Using me for money ect...
My question to you is this.
While he was living with me, he started writing a series of Fantasy Books...
Should I post them online for the wholoe world to read?
