Eddie in the 80s/early 90s. Other then that, none of them really tickle my fancy. Stand-up wise, I enjoy quite a lot, but in the movies there are not any that make me laugh. Although Sam Jackson can be a funny mother ****er, though not intentionally.

None of the people on that list have been funny in the last 15 years.

The funniest black actors that come to mind off the top of my head are Dave Chappelle and Jerry Minor. Martin, Sinbad, and Whoopie have really never been funny.

Everything I think about the fact that the guy who portrayed the President in 24 also portrayed Pedro Cerrano from Major League, I laugh my ass off.

1 martin What has he done to be considered funny?
2 will smith Is somewhat funny,mainly with light-hearted comedies.
3 eddie murphey was back in the 80's,made a small return to being funny in recent years with his kids movies(ala bill cosby)
4 sinbad /shrug can't think of one funny movie that was good,maybe a good stand up,but not as an actor.
5 jamie fox was funny on his tv shows,somewhat funny as an actor,but hes leaning towards a serious actor.
6 bill cosby most talented on this list,had a good run with his tv show the huxtables.
7 whoopi

Funny lady,but not the funniest of this bunch,but got natural talents.

For me, it would defiantely have to be Richard Bryor. Not only is the guy considere4d one of the best stand up comedians of all time, but his comedies were also very funny as well. His work with Gene Wilder especially, and he wrote of the the most famous comedies of all time: Blazing Saddles.
