Funny Sayings Your Age Group Used In Junior High!

That and "dillhole" are the only terms I can remember from my time in JH.

Sadly, most of my memories of that time no longer exist. :o

I just assumed dill was a funny term for some reason. All it's ever been to me is a spice added to vegetables. :o

AAAAAHHHHH!!!! :( :down

It's really sad to have to go to school, and see white rednecks doing that on a pseudo-regular basis.

Did everyone get this from Stephanie Tanner??

We say that when we see what she looks like now.

When I was in Jr. High, the first wave of surf-punk words like "totally" and "rad" were all the rage.

jag

TOTALLY

or

TOTALLY RAD

or

For Real

but the one that made me crazy was:

like, eh, like she had a beer, eh, like you know.

(either the like or the eh would make me cringe)

"Dill" (probably derived from "dill pickle" or "*****") is one of the useful prefixes found on the mix-and-match chart of juvenile insults. Behold:

PREFIXES

fart
ass
dill
butt
d*ck/c*ck

SUFFIXES

munch
hole
knocker
weed
smoker

Very useful in middle-school communication.

^ Is this like those Jr. High tests where you match the number to the letter? Or draws lines connecting the word to the phrasing that best matches?

(those were always so easy :o)

In jr. high we used to talk pretty much like Michelangelo from the old TMNT cartoon. Of course, I am from Massachusetts so sayings like "That's wicked awesome, buddy!" never went out of style either. When I was a sophomore in high school we moved to New Mexico and that's where I encountered some weird school yard talk. Anyone ever said pimp? As in, "That's pimp!" which translates to, "yeah, that's pretty cool." It used to drive me nuts to hear people say that.

1st Part = LMAO! Does everyone talk like Mayor Quimby in Massachusetts? :woot: *ignorantly kidding*

2nd Part - Oh SICK! I hate that! :down People who used to use that when they didn't have a cool bone in their body = Me :cmad:

And what was worse than that was when people who were "cool" used it too and got away with it...again = Me :cmad:

Pimp's STUPID!

I've heard Matt Damon and Ben Affleck saying it while doing a parody of the streets of Boston on SNL.

I don't remember any funny sayings but I do remember the awful Criss Cross fashion, with the backwards pants.
