This is wild. What really got me was the "Apollo 11" on the kid's sweater because, I'll tell you this, Stanley Kubrick was meticulous, I mean obsessed with filmmaking and images. Everything in his movies is put there by him (especially visually) and is as deliberate as it gets. There's no way that that kid walked on set already wearing that sweater and Kubrick said, "Okay, let's shoot" and didn't 'okay' the sweater, or hand pick it himself. That "Apollo 11" was definitely a deliberate choice, so it must mean something to Kubrick. Weird.

Also, a funny side note, if the government did want to fake something like this, Stanley Kubrick would be the person to go to because no one else would be so obsessive about it and make sure that it looked real, haha.

Yeah, I don't think Kubrick directed the moon landing. It would have looked a hell of alot better first of all. Second, I don't see the government approaching Kubrick in directing a space landing. The landing is real. But I'm not here to discuss that.

I think those images are true, not the theory itself. One of the themes of 2001 is technology turning against man and portrayed as evil. So one could assume that he had his doubts of the moon landing and that it would fail or something.

Also, the time of the moon landing was the same time when Kubrick was working on 2001: A Space Odyssey, a film where he was already faking moon footage (there are many shots of walking on the moon in 2001). And Kubrick was so meticulous, his effects in that film rival the effects of today.

AND... after 2001 was when he became an expatriate, taking up permanant residence in England. For the rest of his life, he never came back to America. Cue Twilight Zone theme...

There have been five other manned moon landings since Apollo 11. They are only so few and far between due to the fact that they are so damn expensive.

I love it as well. Some of the theories out there are quite whack, but there are some great coincidences that do tend to reside on the hair-raising side of things. And who knows, maybe Kubrick did this all deliberately, in order to fuel the "Kubrick faked the moon landing" theories. LOL t:
