I know that Casino Royale still hasn't been released yet but, it's never too early to begin casting villains. Eh? Who's up for it.

My number #1 choice:

LIAM NEESON!

- A few others:

Sir Ian McKellen

Kevin Spacey

I know that these guys are all comic book villains, but others I wouldn't mind seeing are Geoffrey Rush, Clive Owen, Brian Cox (oops he's in X-Men 2), Paul Bettany, and Taye Diggs.

Should his villains be more stylized as they were back in the day, or more typical corporate mogul types? I miss the Oddjobs and Goldfingers.

I think we need more stylised villains, and least mbusinessmen-like as possible. I am tired of evil billionnaires, who basically scheme in their leisure time. Goldfinger was a great businessman villain, they never found an equivalent.

Yeah. I think they need to find new ways to do interesting things with the Bond bad guy - the typical evil billionaire just isn't cutting anymore.

And for the villains, keep the actors as unknown as possible, but have them older than Bond (or quite mature). I would suggest actors like Ian McShane, David Suchet, etc.

Yeah. Brosnan had far too many young villains (or at least villains who were around Bond's age), and even CASINO ROYALE is having a relatively youthful villain. It would be nice to see a more mature villain emerge at this point.

And I also agree that the actors shouldn't be really known. Casting like Mads Mikkelsen is right in line with what I want to see.

...And Mikkelsen, while still young, is a few years older than Craig. Still, I hope they will cast much older villains in the future, badguys that are in their 50s.

My original choice for Le Chiffre...

Ciaran Hinds.

He could still play a villain in another Bond film. He sure has the right look.

Too famous.

What the heck do you mean by too famous? Many of the bond villains have been well-known actors. I think Michael Caine would be excellent as a baddy! He can appear very menacing and suave at the same time. He probably would jump at the chance to do it. Hell, he starred in a muppet movie for heaven's sake!

Not just A Muppet movie THE Muppet movie.

I don't like the vibe of that. You're not dissing it are you?

Actually I think it was one of the best versions of a Christmas Carol ever presented. My point is that Mike Caine ain't the type to believe he is above playing a Bond villain. Many established actors would have run screaming from appearing in a Muppet movie. Caine not only took on the challenge of acting against puppets, but he sang in the movie (and not too badly).

How about Peter Stormare? If you ignore the dude in the VDub commercials that is. He creeped me out as Satan in Constantine.

Okay. Good. You get 10 points in my coolbook.

Nah, no young guys like that ****er in Die Another Day. We need an old guy who is evil as hell and just gives the orders to his badass henchman... Goldfinger style.

No I think it's better if Bond fights someone like: Le Chiffe

Just imagine Michael Caine as a Bond Villain.

I don't think Bond would defeat him. :D

Of course he wouldn't:woot: Caine is the man!

You want an old guy? How about Ron Howard then?

I think they should bring back Specter and have all the old bonds play the Villians. Sean Connery at the head of the table, surrounded by George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosman. After all Sean Connery did play a bad guy in the Avengers movie.
