Here's the thing... Peter now is completely powerless. Arthur Petrelli doesn't just have the ability to absorb others powers - he steals them completely. Which is why Adam died as soon as his healing power was taken away from him.

So, yes, now would be the perfect time for Peter to get scarred. Granted, at some point, he gets his powers back in the future... but how? Maybe with another version of the formula that gives people powers? Hmmm...

Adam shouldn't have died. His body was in perfect condition. He should only have lost his healing ability but he shouldn't have died. But anyway does Hiro still have his sword? He could be the one that slices Peter, seeing as how he's pretending to be a villain now.

^ I still don't think we've seen the last of Adam. I'm banking on Angela Petrelli's vision of the future that showed the villains as Adam, Nikki/Tracy/Jessica, Parkman's Dad, and the black fear guy.

That vision might not be accurate. Arthur wasn't in it and we all know he's the big bad this season. But i hope it is and Adam will come back.

^ Arthur may not be in the vision simply because he wasn't in that exact place at that exact time in the future. He could still be the big bad villain, and those 4 could be the ones that ultimately end up working for him.

ya, the guys 400+ years old, his power is what stoped him from aging, once he lost his power, his true age cought up with him, fast

I think any wound inflicted while the Haitian is around doesn't heal. In this last episode when Peter was slicing up his mom his wounds from Claire still hadn't healed. And the Haitian wasn't there because they could still use their powers

I'm sure the cut wounds on his chest did heal up, it was just the blood trails that still remained on there. Claire cut him with a scalpel, so the cuts may have been too thin and small to notice. Also when Claire's head was cut open by Sylar, the trail of blood on her forehead still remained after it healed up.

I still don't think we've seen the last of Adam. I'm banking on Angela Petrelli's vision of the future that showed the villains as Adam, Nikki/Tracy/Jessica, Parkman's Dad, and the black fear guy.

To me that was dream symbolism for Angela,symbolizing: A nightmare future is coming because of THESE people. Because of Adam and Maury that the Big Bad is coming to take control.

Future Peter had to meet Claire. Otherwise, how did he recover from exploding. Nathan said he'd die without the ability. And season 3 Peter saw Claire a few times.

He wouldn't die from the explosion since he's the one with that ability. Ted never got hurt either when using his ability.

He didn't have the chance to explode. Claire stopped him...
