Can't see J-Law in the role. And I like J-Law. So that leaves Emily Blunt and Kat Dennings (kidding!). :D

I'm going with Gadot's Wonder Woman as she's a lot more fun and charismatic than Lason's CM. I do hope that Captain Marvel gets better in Endgame but right now I find her to be quite bland and emotionless due to the way Larson deliver her lines.

I see the Shippers are out in force already with Thor and CM.

I loved the no man's land scene but this was a horrible action sequence and shows what a foothold Zach Snyder still had on the DCEU at that point. The ridiculous speedup/slowdowns stuff is so over done. I'm not going to tell you the action scenes in CM were great, because some of them had issues, but I'd take the train scene any day of the week over a stupid Zach Snyder 300 all over again fight scene. Aquaman was so much better than JL or WW or BvS or MoS for having finally gotten rid of the 300 gimmick action, that is really just a rip off from the Matrix films.

Yes, unfortunately Patty developed a case Snyder disease whilst filming WW which is what prevents the movie from being a masterpiece. It is 85% Nolan quality and 15% Snyder-isms. Hopefully with WW84 it's all quality.

There was heart, humor, and revelations in a way less scathingly sardonic manner, so 85% is downright suspect.

That was the only part of WW that jarred with me. I love the film but when it comes to the big showdown I often hit the FF, tbh.

Ares being a frail old man was cool, but I don't understand how Lupin had that moustache even as a god. :hmm But yeah it became the usual bang bang CGI spectacle like MOS's Zod Fight.

If Ares was going to have a mustache it should have been a handle-bar !

Not entirely. I'm not as harsh on the third act like others are, in fact I think the arguments over the third act in WW are completely overblown. It's moments throughout the film that feel like they were shot by Snyder that makes the film fall short of Nolan territory IMO. I'm hoping Patty rectifies that in WW84.

Personally I think that Snyder’s ability to direct action- and I mean real action, not CGI, is one of his strengths. One of the best parts of BvS is Batman’s warehouse fight. Wonder Woman taking out the soldiers in Veld was absolutely spectacular.

But yeah, I do agree that the complaints about the third act are overblown, especially since it contains some of Chris Pine’s best acting. Just wish that Ares could have looked more like this guy:

One of the few times I -wish- the merchandising spoiled me on the image...

I thought both were really good in their roles personally, though Gal surprised with how good she was to be fair. Enjoyed both of their movies a lot and both had 3rd act issues funnily enough. But overall I would say WW was the better movie, but there isn’t a lot in it.

I asked Brie if she wanted to eat at a steakhouse, but she gave me a 4 hour lecture on why being vegan was the way to go. I asked Gal the same, she replied...''I love Bob Sponge!'' The choice was simple.

On the topic of JLaw, I like JLaw quite and think she is very talented. But her disinterest in the X-Men films was very clear in her performance in Apocalypse, and I am sure it will be in DP as well. I think she could easily pull of Sue, but I would worry about the same thing happening when she is several films into what would be at least a 6 film deal based on past contracts.

Random thought. Why is it that some actors and actresses get these weird semi-acronym nicknames and some don't? Like, why is Jennifer Lawrence and not Jude Law known as JLaw? I demand answers! Jude should file a lawsuit! He has more claim to that nickname than her, and he was here first!

Because J Law just sounds like Jude Law's initials and not some shortening of his name at all. It's like having H Ford or M Hamill.

Now if Harrison Ford's name were something like Harrison Fordson, then H Ford would work. But since his last name is Ford, then H Ford just sounds like nothing at all.

I think you need a longer surname for the shortening nickname to work.

Probably copies JLo more than ScarJo.

Jude Law's actual first name is David - so he's really D Law. Jennifer Lawrence has got him there.:D

In that case, he should retire from acting and spend his nights pumping house beats in the club scene as DJ Law. :D

Starting the movement now to start calling him MarHam, lol

Or be in a movie with Stallone so Stallone can say "I'm above D Law"

    ...
    God... I'm sorry... that was...awful
