Prolific producer Gale Anne Hurd (
The Terminator,
The Incredible Hulk) is looking to develop a spec script from writer Chris Billett, says
The Hollywood Reporter.
The storyline, described as a modern day Western, is said to involve a secret Witness Protection Program facility that comes under attack by assassins and which must be defended by the citizens of the local town.
The aim for the project is, at the moment, to go after independent funding through Hurd's Valhalla Pictures, though the producer doesn't entirely rule out studio involvement.
Billett is responsible for the screenplays to the indie films
Unrest,
Callous and, most recently,
Isolation. He is also, per his official site, developing a crime drama for television.
