I hope so. Like I said, Gambit is no Logan and nobody is asking for that movie like the fans were for Deadpool, except Channing Tatum.

I don't care about the MCU or DCCU. I don't watch the movie, I don't read the comics. I'm talking about the X-Men franchise and Fox. Gambit is no Wolverine and no one is asking for his movie like they were for Deadpool when that clip was leaked online.

And as far as I know both Ant-Man and Iron-Man are solo heroes and have decades of stories. And I remember people highly excited for the first Iron Man movie. And people were excited about Ant-Man movie as well, which happened years after the success of the MCU. The X-Men franchise has 17 years already and yet people don't seem excited at all about a Gambit movie. That's what I see online at least. I'd be happy if you could show a forum or comment section of popular websites where people show real excitement about Gambit.

And that's what I feel about the character anyway. I don't have any interest at all in his solo movie and would only be interested if other popular characters show up in his movie. Only the X-Men movies are not enough to develop so many characters, so they have a chance to use spin-offs to help develop other characters too.

So far every X-Men spin-off had X-Men members and popular characters. I'd be shocked if Gambit doesn't have any.

Fox will be more inclined to make a movie if people are clamoring for it, sure. But they should just focus on producing quality films instead of figuring out how many movies they can squeeze out of character A,B,C etc. This feels forced and i think it's completely unnecessary for him to have 3 solo films. HE'S A FREAKING XMAN, PUT HIM IN A GOOD TEAM MOVIE!

Gambit deserves a trilogy. But imo only after being established as an X-MAN in X7.

Right!! I like Gambit as well but its plenty of XMen I wish got that privilege. Black Panther on the big screen, that is a story that can be so rich and different not really seen before in a superhero movie which is why i was clamoring for a Storm solo, im excited to see BP on the big screen just wish Storm could join him.

It's tatum why they are still trying to launch a gambit solo film.now it is true gambit was in origins to possibly launch solo film but that was because rothman's plan after last stand was to do solo films set before original trilogy.

i disagree with many here and think we don't need a bunch of solo films.after wolverine and deadpool gambit is only one who i feel can sustain a solo film apart from x team.Now i am not sure about doing an enire solo gambit trilogy but there is defently enough with gambit and thieves and assassin's guilds to sustain a solo film.

They just don't have a great plan for Gambit. What people wanted from the beginning was to include in the actual X-Men. But they shoe horned in a prequel Wolverine movie and now forcing to make a stand alone Gambit movie because ofChanning which is risky. It if bombs, what makes you think Fox would even include him with the other X-Men?

Don't know why she's consistently written off as not able to sustain it.

It doesn't even have to be "before she joined X-Men" either. Between X1 and X2 Wolverine goes on his own to discover what happened to him in the past in Alkali Lake. Storm could do the same and have her own adventure in Africa.

Angel, Beast, Jean, Cyclops, Iceman, Psylocke, Jubilee, Colossus but not everyoneshould get a solo film especially making a film takes time and it's not cheap. The appeal of the X-Men is that they are group of mutants, you are stripping it away by continuously doing solo films when Gambit could appear in a X-Men team movie with the other X-Men. A Wolverine trilogy is a given since Wolverine is the most popular but Gambit... They should utilize him first in a X-Men movie and if the public responds very well then thats the time to do a solo film.

And before someone brings up those mCu heroes that got a film, well Marvel Studios is behind them and those characters are Already headlining own titles before they joined the Avengers. That isn't the case with Gambit. Gambit only got a solo series years after his comic book debut in X-Men.

EXACTLY! I don't get why Fox doesn't get it. X-men is about a team, it's about interesting characters having all kinds of relationships with each other while fighting for a world that fears and hates them. I like most X-men but i don't need to see them in 5000 solo movies. They are at their best when they're a team.

But Gambit is a popular x-man, he must be an x-man in x-movies.

In this new tiùmeline x-men members are Cyclops Wolverine Jean Storm Beast Iceman Colossus Rogue Kitty and probably Kurt, I wish to have one of them in a Gambit solo as we had Colossus in Deadpool

If you followed hype or just X-Men movies in general. You would know that People wanted Gambit to appear in a X-Men movie with the rest of the gang. X-Men 2, 3, 4.... That's what people wanted. Then Fox responded by finally introducing Gambit in a X-Men movie but it happened in a freaking Wolverine film and the character has yet to make a return in the movies since then.

And now Gambit the solo film is taking forever to go to production. And the only main reason why it is only getting made is because they have a popular actor willing to star. And this isn't even comparable to Deadpool. Deadpool isn't a X-Men member.

It is just silly for Fox that they have the rights for almost twenty years now and now moving to team spin offs like X-Force and New Mutants and yet they can't simply introduce Gambit in a X-Men team movie. It is as silly how they wasted Rogue, Psylocke, Angel, Storm, Jubilee after a couple of film adaptations. Fox is problematic at handling the X-Men. Its either they don't know what to do or they have other priorities or they simply care about a handful of characters.

Apparently Francis Lawrence and Gore Verbinski were in negotiation for directing Gambit but they moved on.
